So did Blicavs and club kept giving him game after game I think O'Connor would get better the more games he play's

I put O'Conner in my side.....he was the 22nd picked....We should all keep in mind that unlike many of his more highly rated teammates, he played quite well in the EF debacle lat year.....

Mihocek - their mature age recruit - built like a brick outhouse - he was one of the finds of the year - and a pretty important part of their forward line - i think your underselling him a bit - putting him on the interchange bench
Guys come off the bench within 5 minutes, so it's nominal only

Can Blix go hd to hd?
Blicavs will play on Cox - last year he kept him goalless and Cox finished with 9 disposals (2 kicks & 7 handballs) & 3 marks

No need to change from what worked last year

Different circumstances; we can't block it up like last year. A really quick entry into FF and one on one, potentially, nobody can match that height factor.

That’s the same at the other end too with Hawkins/Esava. Not sure the Pies have the tall defenders to match them either.

It’s going to require Henry to use his athletic prowess and reading of the play to intercept or at least block his lead.

Harry > Henry I would think.
Henry has loads of promise, but not sure he has the nous for that task just yet.

Agree - I thought Zuthrie seemed to have th
I'd play Clark ahead of him though , gives us better rebounding and is a beautiful kick and he's quite a tough kid for 18. Got a couple kicked on him V Bombers but I liked the way he matched Fantasia for pace a few times.
Pies smalls kicked all their goals today so we must ensure we're onto that :)

One of those goals - the small Ess forward - roved the spill of the ball from the pack - and ripped the ball out of old man Hendersons hands - hes slow at everything - not just moving

Hope Henderson isnt in the 22

A quick entry is likely to favour those who read the ball better rather than any physical prowess. I'd back our guys to read it better. Especially now that a player starts the game in the goal square they'll be leading to the ball not wrestling for position. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for teams to not use a KPP as that designated player.

Woods more attuned to their game plan than the cats with their “new” game plan. Worried about woods small forwards. Elliot, Thomas, Varcoe and co look super dangerous. No Bews, Tuohy and Clarke got caught out twice against tipungwuti for two goals. Allow space for Elliot, Thomas and co.. and it’s good night. They bat way deep in the middle and look zippy. Up against it I think.

And from memory in that last game game against the hawks last year.

Absolutely. We still look stodgy.

I wasn’t convinced about O’Connor’s kicking last season but he’s clearly worked on it in the preseason
Technique looks sound now and he’s kicking with confidence - well done young lad :)

Really? I thought we looked zippier than last year.....The Dons are far from slow and didnt put space to us at all last week...

I think our narrow ground helped with that somewhat, but the pressure from guys like Atkins, Dahl and Rohan, was telling. Meant they couldn't just run it out and do what they wanted from half-back. Best our forward line has looked in years. If Cockatoo got back and started terrorizing defenders, wow, it'd be a fortress in our F50.

We weren't slow by any measure. Anyone who says that wasn't watching the game

Where has Bews been guys? Not listed injured and not playing JLT

Also why are you guys not playing Cam Guthrie off half back without Tuohy and Bews and pushing Parfitt upto a wing?

Bews has had shoulder issues and has not built the fitness base for round 1.

Guthrie isn't considered a half back on this board....Clark and O'connor will play that position...

Havent seen anyone suggest Parfitt a wingman....he is in the thick of it in the midfield, resting forward......
