Interesting choice of words from Gunston - Burton left the club. He certainly wasn't thrown out by Hawthorn.

Bit of family history between the Burton's and the Crows, specifically with Ryan's dad so not surprised he went to PortTo be honest, when his father came out saying they wouldn't deal with the Crows because they didn't select him in the draft, it's hard to not see Burton as petulant and too eager to listen to what others perceive. I hope he goes well, and shows us what we're missing, but he needs to move on from these things.
I liked Burto but you can't tell me that he wouldn't have had his manager talking to Port this year anyway as his contract expired in 2020
Whilst I believe Ryan had the superior year. McGrath will be the better player. Ryan has too many weaknesses in his game.I’m no longer filthy that the Essendon*-biased media gave Andy McGrath the rising star award now...
I was not sold on him, and got smashed for it.Lol. Everyone here loved him 12 months ago. I for one was disappointed to see him go and hope he fulfils his potential at Port.
This. As disappointing it is to lose a player that showed potential, he’ll never be as good as WingardBig lols to whoever signed the 'don't trade burton & 15 for wingard' petition. The chad's a dual aa ffs!

There’s a fair bit of this as to why we were open to trading him.The reality in 2018 was that Burton showed signs of vulnerability above the shoulders
He shirked some contests or ran away from where he should have been to assist a team mate
Not a hanging offence but something that Clarko doesn’t like
He expects teammates to sacrifice for each other
In the end he became the sacrificial offering as a result
I think the new 6-6-6 rule playing as a defender will make things a lot harder for Burton, he's great at reading the balls flight but terrible at body positioning and overhead contest, I think he will be a lot more suited to playing forward but he never looked comfortable there at AFL level. There’s a fair bit of this as to why we were open to trading him.
So called family club threatened the kids career.
Future captain turned hack?
He's having a stellar game tonight, that goal was pure class....
