Huh? Still listed as a test for friday night vfl. And he would need to get through the game. No way is he a certain starter.

Jed Bews is listed as groin 1-2 weeks. Back running.

Scott all but confirmed on the radio today SS won't be avaiable for round 1 AFL selection

Wise decision. He needs a couple of games to build some durability into his hamstrings. Did nearly a full pre-season though so hopefully he has turned the corner. Even if he isn't best 22 he is still depth.

I'm not as against him as some.
If he's named, I'll expect him to be both fit...and perform well.

I'm not saying l would be either,.. but one thing's for sure, some of the howlers on here will let it rip lol!
I like him, he's a bigger body l'm not bothered either way, but not at Constables expense l hope otherwise l might let it rip.

The kicking yips had well and truly set in at that stage, there for the dish off, the yips cost him Norm IMO.
Gotta agree - can't fault how big he was in the GF, but he probably needed to kick one more goal & if he sealed the match then it would have been his named called to the dias

The yips were irrelevant. Without Hawkins we lose that GF. Most of those marks were contested. He was colossal. One of those shots hit the post too.

He was kicking atrociously that day, he was lucky to kick 3 considering 2 were kicked off the ground and the other was one that barely scraped in.
Was easily BoG, just didn't convert when he should have and that cost him the Norm.

He has certainly had his moments with kicking for goal, thankfully he looks to be very confident of late.
I think he's slightly undervalued though , particularly by opposition supporters - he's been very consistent power forward for a long time now and we shouldn't take for granted the 50+ goals we can virtually pencil him in for each season.
If the 666 translates into quicker entries into an open forwardline the sky could be the limit for Tom :) - going to win more than his fair share of one on ones

Without Bartel we lose too,3 goals sealed it for him, right decision,13 votes to Toms 5,Tom nails those goals the gap closes. The yips were relevant.

Na, Hawkins took 7 contested marks. That's phenomenal. Easily BOG.

But anyway.

He will but it won't do the Big Yank Tank any harm either,211cm and 108 kegs,he will be a handful.

Cox generally plays his one good game for the year later in the season. The rest of the time he's trying to find his coordination.

Zuths development has been reasonably good but he was soundly beaten by Oscar Allen. Had 3 kicked on him by a guy who i think had played maybe 1 game?
Yeah fair point. Zuthrie shouldn't be playing on talls though. He's much better suited to playing on smalls.

Zuthrie over Clark? He was good, but my god, Clark was phenomenal! Offered dash out of the backline and real dare, something that we sorely need
Clark has a long way to go with the defensive side of his game. But yes, I agree that he does have alot of talent.

I think Kolo and Taylor going down early in that game probably forced a mismatch on occasions.
Oscar Allen is extremely talented and no disgrace he only played a few last season with Kennedy,Darling,Le Cras , Cripps and at times Waterman showing strong form. He is 191cm but has a solid leap and plays much taller

You're a gun poster mate. If only there were more like you!
