Yea I'm usually of the opinion that certain horses only being good in Melbourne or Sydney is way overstated and most of the time can just be explained away as variance (which is why I had no problems backing HC today), but certainly seems to be true here

Thought MJ was a huge lay at the price despite liking the horse (was on in the Guineas), far better than I realised. I too look forward to it braining TAS

It's an interesting one. I think people who don't spend a lot of time around horses underestimate their intelligence. They can be stubborn and often extremely particular animals, and sometimes you just have to concede a horse is only good when they get what they want. Webster's comments regarding him hating to travel were probably just glossed over by most, but clearing there's something there.

. Mystic Journey... wow she’s a gun better than The Autumn Sun for mine, beating some serious WFA horses outside her own age and sex

. Hartnell, what a warrior still has another GP1 win in him i think

. Happy Clapper, love him but never again in Melbourne

. Le Romain showing why letting scrubs like Urban Ruler in was a joke as unless Foundry wasn’t scratched he doesn’t get a start

Next year they need to tweak the entry required
