Winning the premiership last year really takes the stress off. I find us getting pumped and Freo winning convincingly as more amusing than frustrating.

I'll be pissed if we lose the derby though.

We lost round 1 last year, and didn’t hit our straps for a few weeks after that either.

Fair play to Freo it’s going to be a good win, but it’s a small sample set to be declaring it’s going to be the trend for the season also.

One thing that hasn't improved is the goal scoring - kicking at goal is atrocious. When you compare it to basketballers that hit baskets at will, it really makes one shake the head.

McCarthy actually is a decent kick its just he has been hopeless getting the ball in recent years

At the expense of keeping Shep? Nah.

Yeo, Shep, Shuey, Darling, Gaff, McGovern plus Lobb can’t all fit. Lobb being better than Hickey doesn’t mean it was the wrong choice to go cheap on the third string ruck.

Wow, Norf and Round 1. They now have won 1 out of the last 10 since 2009 they only have the win in 2016 vs Adelaide at home. Freo looks like the reigning premiers today. We will see what happens in Round 4.
