Let's see Freo do it against a capable midfield either at home or away then we can talk about their finals chances.

North's midfield is horribly balanced. Not enough good ball movers while I'd argue they have too many negative types.

This is the truth. Been here 4 years now and I can't remember summer lasting or being as humid as it has this year. It's usually 'comfortable' at this point. Still warm but comfortable. It's neither cooling down or comfortable yet.

The locals seem to be the biggest whingers of all. Case in point is when I got my first house keys on the morning after I arrived four years ago. I turned up wearing shorts and a shirt. Had been a typically cold Melbourne start to winter (June) and by comparison Brisbane was warm (20-24 degrees). The realtor - wearing Melbourne-style winter clothing takes one look at me "Aren't you cold. It's freezing here." "No, I'm quite warm." "How cold was it in Melbourne when you left?" "Oh, about 8 degrees yesterday morning." "Oh, FFS, I could never live there that's way too cold. No thanks."

It was a huge change moving up here from Ballarat I can tell ya..
I notice the heat/humidity more when I'm bludging around on the lounge than being outside doing a bit ..

Exactly! This is what makes great football clubs
They can bring players in from anywhere - late draft picks, VFL - and turn them into solid to very good AFL players that perform consistently

I'd love us to get to that point!

I saw most of the games this weekend, reckon we would have beaten at least 6-7 teams based on some really insipid/rusty performances (especially today)

4 points in the bank after round 1 is surely better for the club's bottom line (esp with memberships) than the gate from the Tigers clash.
