The thing though is, Collingwood admittedly have better depth than Richmond especially in the areas that the injuries happened. That means that our 4 injuries to our best 22 (including one of the best defenders in the competition in Rance) is going to impact us more than it does to the side that Collingwood fielded.
Wells is best 22 if he's fit. I personally don't think Scharenberg is best 22 with our current backline stocks and Reid definitely isn't anymore.
Key word "fit". If Reid were able to get his body right, then given his versatility, there's multiple positions on field for him.

Collingwood are pretty much still playing a similar brand of footy with or without those players whereas we now have changed the way we played last year and in the JLT + Round 1 because of Rance's injury and Garthwaite's unavailability. We are playing with only two tall defenders instead of three.
It doesn't excuse us from losing this match though because we need to be able to overcome our injuries if we want to win the Premiership. We'll have to see how we respond to significant injuries tonight. Quite a foreign territory in recent years for Richmond to have a player like Rance out for the season.
If we had our whole list available - which is what the question was implying - he wouldn't be in our best 22. Hasn't played good football in years now.
injury ravaged ha ha haPies have everything to lose here, if they can't beat an injury ravaged tigers outfit then they have genuine runners up hangover which I'm sure Adelaide will be more than happy to hand over.
YeaH When those pies come up teeming up from their base...just on the south side of Richmond station?!The Richmond derby arrives, carna Tiges!
Yeah I honestly have no idea which way this game goesI agree with everything you stated.
Best thing about footy at the minute is that anything can happen on the night. Pies or Tigers, even with said injuries, any team can win it.
Personally, I believe Tigs will get up and will use the pre-lim as motivation for redemption.
My facts are right champ, not sure what age has do to with the discussion.Caddy 17/18 44 games 67 goals, nearly (10 days) off being 26
Degoey 35 games 62 goals, a week ago turned 23
Get your facts right Caddy kicked five more goals in 9 more games
FYI his best season at the same age as Degoey was a measly 16 goals 30 less than Degoey!
Degoey..........daylight then Caddy
Ours are definite top 22 and Rance is like you losing Grundy but it doesn't matter you play with what you have available, we will both have 22 players out there. The ironic thing is that Collingwood's injury list is still twice as long as Richmond's (10 to 5), yet all the commentary has us going in with a full strength line-up, whilst Richmond have an injury crisis...
Absolutely.Ours are definite top 22 and Rance is like you losing Grundy but it doesn't matter you play with what you have available, we will both have 22 players out there.
Sometimes as happened with Collingwood last year and Richmond in 2017, the injuries can improve the team in some ways.

Absolutely.
When you have injuries, you find players not originally in your Best 22, and you can see how good they are. They can come in and prove just why you recruited them to begin with. All players need to so is play a role.
Love De Goey hes got great potential to be a real consistent match winner and probably kick 50 goals+ as a mid sized forward who can also play midfield but I reckon he in his last two games hes made critical errors that went a long way to his side losing.Caddy 17/18 44 games 67 goals, nearly (10 days) off being 26

Haven’t they only won like two out of the last seven or something like that?Surprised to see only 31% have gone with Collingwood on footytips, ill take the roughie here happily. Wasn't super impressed by either team but they will surely be better skills wise this week. Collingwood have played Richmond well in recent years so I think they will get over the line just.
Yet you include wells? If we had our whole list available - which is what the question was implying - he wouldn't be in our best 22. Hasn't played good football in years now.
The Rance injury will have a big impact. Anyone doubting that simply doesn't watch football.
