The other player who had a couple of shocking “what the” clangers was Burton. Bonner and DBJ have copped a whack here post game, but both were better than Burton. That's for sure ... I got sick of saying ... What the !!!!.... after some of his disposals ..![]()
Cool.
I was saying this to my Dad today. I have never seen a first year player out run seasoned players the way he does and run out games the way he does.Macca19 do you have Xavier Duursma’s combine results? I knew he was a good athlete but he’s a freak. Covers the ground as well as any teenager I’ve ever seen.

His groan when Carlton stuffed up a forward entry was only surpassed by his emphatic call of definitely touched after 1 frame and 1/50th of a second of the replay of Butters' disallowed goal.Dunstall is a flog of a commentator. So biased it is intolerable and unprofessional.
I think Andre is pointing to the part where we reverted to our 2018 game style, throwing everything out the window for the season.
No one’s completely satisfied with that game obviously. But 120 minutes of Hinkleyball it was not. Maybe about 30 minutes.
Today's game and Geelongs game putting both our wins into perspective.
Rockliff's spotting up of targets had to be seen to be believed. So classy with both decision making and execution.Andre’s observations about Boak’s kicking were right. He had a scrappy game and was not alone with his errant kicking. In direct contrast, Rockliff’s kicking was elite. Best I’ve seen from a Port midfielder since Roger James.
I think I was at a different game?Lol, any praise of that win. Some individual good performances by the kids, Lycett, Ebert and Clurey, but even with the injuries just a shit show. Without Clurey down back we’d have lost, the rest of our Defense was arse. Jonas has been poor from JLT1 and is lucky he’s got the (Co-)Captaincy gold pass blanket to keep him safe Thursday nights. Our Defense outside Clurey was too short time and again, we need Hartlett back, but with Watts down we need Howard’s height back there even more.
Our midfield. Got plenty of the ball first, but just continually burnt it. 30 Boak possessions are more like 15 when you take into account the cost of all his turnovers. I’m sure he’ll get the praise though.SPP at least bounces back somewhat from his game last week and the three youngsters all did ok. Duursma I think the lucky one saved by Amon going out injured to let Wines back.
Our forward line. Holy hell what was that? Hoff has a shocker, so he didn’t draw attention, leaving Marshall under the pump and clearly not coping. Ryder is going to continue to frustrate until he loses the helmet and can clearly see. We need another tall up there, but I fear we’ll go further down the Hinkley rabbit hole and drop Marshall for a small and I can check out having any expectations knowing nothing has really changed.
And if Hinkley praises Carlton rather than go ‘Blight on Pittman pathetic’ on just about the whole team, then he can just shut up and let Schofield start doing the pressers now, rather then wait for the inevitable change.
Im. 50 50 on that.
250 isn't a big milestone. 300 is.
Think the 50 ones are a little over the top imo.

Let’s see how the season pans out. There is no real perspective yet.Today's game and Geelongs game putting both our wins into perspective.
I refuse to watch itI am watching replay ... silly me .. oh well ... tis Port ..![]()
He pulled out of a marking contest where he should have marked between two Blues in the South West flank too.The other player who had a couple of shocking “what the” clangers was Burton. Bonner and DBJ have copped a whack here post game, but both were better than Burton.
Next three weeks will be telling:Let’s see how the season pans out. There is no real perspective yet.
It’s more noticeable at the game. His kicks don’t spin properly; they don’t look like they go where he aims them, and he doesn’t have the creative vision of great midfielders.Where does this “Boak gave the ball to the opposition 50% of the time” thing come from? The AFL app has him at 70% disposal efficiency, with 6 turnovers from 33 disposals.
Yes I get sick of the same old negative Nellies too.I think I was at a different game?
Why do people feel the need to constantly whine and focus on negatives?
Hope we don’t play them there this year.Wait are you telling me Geelong is flat track bullying at Kardinia Park, holy shit.
Wo, just wow, written him off after 2 games as captain..Jonas has always been that player. He had one really strong year when he played pretty much loose behind the ball and was third man up at contests. His disposal has always been suspect and if he loses a yard in pace he’s done.
Giving him the captaincy was always a mistake.
I continue to believe he will be our best draftee from 2018. I keep on seeing Craig Bradley when he gets it. Surely I can't be the only one? Both teams covered an insane amount of ground. 301.6 for port and 301.7 for carlton. That's the 18th highest distance covered on record.
Duursma covered the most of any player at 17.4km. Also the most at high speed of 3.2km.
He is a ******* freak.
