If we had won every game for the last ten years the mood would have been different as well. The problem is we don't live in an alternate reality where this fantasy world exists.
... or as I like to say "if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle!".

No coincidence that "Um, Brad Scott" is an anagram of "Bad Scrotum" :stern look

ignoring that there's a missing 't'

Wood kicks 1 goal in the VFL, straight back in the side.
Ahern according to Brad isn't as good as an out of form, languishing, absolutely shit nowhere near the ball because he doesn't know where to go Simpkin.

Okay Brad. Sure.

These decisions are indefensible.

Sliding Doors 4/4/19:

...then North Melbourne clearly think utilising classy disposal in the midfield is a bit overrated.

I like him forward but he should be spending more time in the midfield.

I’d be passing the baton onto Larkey before Wood.
He might not be ready but time to give the boy a chance.

I’m not against that.

I don't get this either. If he was dropped for form, he's shown very little. If he was dropped for balance, we've changed very little. What exactly has changed?
FWIW, I reckon he’s actually ok in the role he played last year - 3rd tall bobbing up for a couple of goals a week. We tried him in the Waite role in round 1 and it was a dismal failure. What’s changed is Campbell occupying the 2nd tall defender.

Same would apply to JZ. Letting him play as a high impact medium forward suits him better than 3rd tall.

Can’t see that Wood’s done enough to come back in so soon though.

I still can't even begin to comprehend this quote:

"(But) there were some really good signs at the weekend … if we won that game by 20 points, we'd be talking about a whole lot of the positives."

Every time I read it my brain explodes slightly. We're not talking about a 3 point loss after a kick for goal bounced left into the post instead of right into the goals here. We are talking 4 goals off winning a game. Just a complete WT actual F comment. We can talk about positives from the game, there were some on an individual level but just leave this nonsense out of the discussion.

I think he's OK in it as well, but if that's what we think why wasn't he put in that role last week when Campbell was brought in? I just like some sort of logic to selection and for mine if it was role based he should have played last week and if it was form based nothing has changed. Seems a bit like policy on the run.

That means we're 22 from the last 60. Let me pose a question to you - is that acceptable?

Yeah, but to be fair though. If we'd won the other 38 games as well, would we be asking ourselves if that was acceptable?

FWIW though I do think that when a team is struggling you still eliminate those who are struggling the most.

When the team is struggling, and some blokes are struggling more than others, the least I'd expect is those blokes (and the team) to hit record tackle numbers and absolutely crack in like this is a final. That would also have an affect on the supporters and break up the apathy we've seen last week. Why that's not happening I don't know.

MCG and Hawthorn as good a time to kick start the season as any.
