He was squeezed out of my votes, but Caddy was a sight for sore eyes. Instantly made our fwd structure better. That soccer goal was one of the best. Cat like reflexes to get back into the contest. Deft touch to baker at the death super important too. All with limited fitness and a mouth full of blood. Huge.

Bolton's evasion in a few key moments was sublime. Definitely stays for next week, looks a lot better in the middle and on the wing than just parked in the forward 50 like he has been in previous years.

I really enjoyed the goal that Baker got in the 3rd quarter … it was set up from Stacks good work, run through the pack at pace even though he didn't get a possession he tapped it forward which ended up with Baker and then he laid a good sheppard to give Baker more room for an easier goal.

It was bloody great, also was so good to see him take that strong mark in the last quarter not long after he kicked one out on the full .. he could have easily gone into his shell but didn't.

I said pre-season that Lynch can make the difference interstate.

I seriously did not think Lynch would be that good. Rounds 1 & 2 he hit the scoreboard but he doesn't mind getting stuck into his opponent. Plus Caddy back in I was really pleased about. And Port have a few youngsters who have been up for a few weeks. I thought we'd be competitive. But that was amazing. Grimes was great on the last line.
