So after a week or 2 of people questioning whether our depth was as good as it was reported to be today proves that it is actually quite solid. Firstly the VFL side won by 7 goals against a Port Melbourne side that has quite a bit of former AFL listed players on it despite missing much of it's better players after the multitude of injuries had forced blokes to be called up to the seniors. Then the senior side missing a number of top players goes over to Adelaide and outplays Port when every man and their dog had pretty much written us off.

IMO today has kicked started out season. Over the next few weeks we'll get Dusty Houli Riewoldt & Cotchin back, we'll have exposed a couple of kids to the big time and are entering the easier part of the draw. Sydney Melbourne Dogs and Dockers over the next 4 weeks will give us a chance to get back in to the top 8 and set ourselves up for a solid run through the middle of the year. So for those of you who were starting to scope out September holiday deals maybe put them on hold until October
