Anyone else getting the feeling that balta could tear a game apart soon?

Just as a big man that roams up and down the ground a bit like hogan or even the great koutifides

Certainly showing awesome signs... the kid doesn’t lack confidence that’s for sure

Maybe not soon, but was just thinking that we need to get games into him and once he's enough experience those athletic bursts from the midfield and long kicks will either be sailing through the sticks or being marked by Lynch/Martin/Caddy instead of going wayward like they currently are.

Want to toast the big fella Tom lynch wasn’t his night tonight being honest he got outplayed by a very good footballer in rampe with help from Allir but he never dropped his head and competed hard all night had 4 tackles the same as stack/Prestia/broad and baker and the only players with more in our side was caddy 5/Macca 6 and castagna with 8

Has really bought into the Richmond way and set up a few goals with crashing packs works hard and is averaging 3 goals a game lucky to have him
Exactly lynchpin being double and triple teamed, and that Lloyd seagull scabbing around the back half, swans were never gunna kick a winning score and made dusty and caddys job/s as forwards a lot easier, there will be a lot of brown stains from the swans defenders for the curators to hose off tomorrow.

It wasn’t great but he got his hands to a few, he snapped one over his shoulder when he had handball options on, missed a sitter and gave away a silly free all those went straight up the other end for scores straight away.
Doesn’t matter not here to bash him I’m just saying all things being equal he was easily our worst but won’t be dropped, and really who can you drop!
It’s a good thing not a bad thing, means we have shitloads of scope for improvement on top of the obvious inclusions to come.
Yep, thought he was half a kick behind the game.
I thought he was to deep, could’ve been leading for marks 40 out

Reading the report on AFL site and Rioli got a corked thigh early on that bothered him through the game apparently. Might be out with the dreaded leg given the 4 day turnaround.

I reckon Bolton is another preseason away from being an absolute gun. His core strength and power have improved markedly on last year and he's standing up a lot better in tackles and through congestion. Just doesn't quite have the strength to break the tackles he tries to navigate atm but you can see what he's trying to do. Haven't been much of a fan before this season, he's really won me over.

Dont forget though that Balta is bloody quick. We don't lose any speed with him in the side.
Yeah, but he averages 1 tackle.
Lynch really needs to be playing that second ruck role. He's 2m tall. Hopefully when he's fit and his knee is good he can move into that role, but for now I think we just use Jack as the backup with maybe a few odd stints from Caddy or McIntosh.

Lloyd is a seagull had the ball 37 times and did **** all with it

Edwards did more with it as did stack

Agreed, Lloyd is the most innocuous player in the AFL. Stat padder and opposition teams know it, hence why players just zone off him and let him accumulate.

Possibly could I was having that exact convo with my son, I hope he doesn't the kid is a gun.
Faded in the second half but not sure who else could get dropped unless it’s a wing type in macca or Ellis

I must have been watching a different game to a few on here given the calls for Higgins to be dropped. 25 disposals 6 marks 5 tackles & 2 clearances from 76% game time rolling through the middle is a solid game for a kid in his second season. IMO I think because we're not seeing the highlight reel stuff people are thinking he isn't playing well. For mine Higgins is playing the type of games that Graham should be producing.

Was he playing a role on Kennedy at least for a while there? Got the impression this game was more a learning experience for Rossy. Probably gets dropped for Cotch but Cotch would want to justify it by getting back to vintage form.

With the four day break and Lynch’s injury history I wouldn’t mind giving him the week off against the Dees. Jack, Balta and Caddy is still a formidable forward line.

Under no circumstances should Riewoldt be used in a centre bounce ruck contest ever again.

Neither should Lynch.

Anyone think Ross could get dropped when cotch is back
It won’t be for cotchin tho... when cotch is back, we will still play either Ross or graham but not both...
I personally prefer Ross over Graham atm too..

Can't see it happening.
Part of the verbal getting him to the club would be the lure of playing big games like ANZAC and Dreamtime. No way they'll rest him for this if he's fit.

Cotch said pre game on ch7 he will be back for the ANZAC clash.
He said he was ready to go tonight but the 4 day break wasn't ideal so he opted out tonight.
Ok now ive heard one poster say that he said hes good to go and now you're saying he ruled himself out
Cotchin is NOT playing on Wednesday night.

Dimma was very clear on this in his post game press conference. He said he'll be available for the Bulldogs game.

You believe everything coach says in his presser? Do you also believe in the easter bunny
