many teams trading away top edge rushers. gruden trading mack started a trend.

new nfl defensive philosophy -- interior pressure is key
How can you say that after what Chiefs have just done with Clark?

Chiefs have paid massive overs

Essentially traded Dee Ford and their first round pick for Clark. I don't think it's that bad a deal, especially for a "win now" team like the Chiefs.

After Hunt and Hill you’d think they’d be a little wary of guys with Clark’s history.

Josh Rosen finally breaks his silence on the Cardinals QB situation.

"Yeah, I'm annoyed, yeah I'm frustrated, but I'll be okay no matter what happens."

I’d be shocked if Cards take Murray, I think it’s all a game and Rosen is in on it. Has to be. You trade up previous year to het one of the best three QBs in the class, you surround him with no OL and no support, then the following year draft an inferior player at No 1 when you need a stack of picks to improve your depth! No way.

A new HC and new direction can do that.
Remember Mike Glennon got drafted by the Bucs to be the new franchise QB after Freeman drugged himself out.
Glennon had a good rookie year.
Then the HC resigned after one year.
New HC drafted Winston.
Glennon expendable.

Freeman had been in the league 4-5 seasons before they drafted Glennon.

Glennon was a third round pick so completely different to Murray/Rosen situation. When Lovie was hired he brought in McCown so only you and Glennon’s immediate family thought he’d ever be a starter again

I'm just giving you precedence where a new HC comes in and overhauls the previous HC's moves.
KK is big on his Air Raid system, and Murray suits it to a tee. No way in hell he's gonna pass on Murray.
The Cards just trying their best to get the best value for Rosen back from the teams interested (chargers, patriots, dolphins)

KK will long be forgotten in a couple of years and possibly Cards will have mortgaged their future. Crazy stuff.

HCs are stubborn about their systems, players who know their systems, players who they coached a distant time ago, etc. That's the nature of the beast. And GMs/Owners want to give their HCs the best chance to succeed (thus the GM saving his skin) by giving their hand-picked HCs the players they want. At least initially, that honeymoon period of the HCs first year.

This is different. You don’t do it when you’ve made a huge commitment just a year before. If KK can’t adjust with a more talented QB he won’t last and he’s not worth hiring. Crap hire to start with.

Keim is an idiot, how he was extended is beyond belief. He got rid of two promising young defenders in Bucannon and Reddick because they didn’t fit Wilks’ scheme. Where’s Wilks now? He was incompetent and should have been sacked not those players.

I’d walk away if I was a Cardinals fan.

What you are saying is right about Keim. And the best coaches (HC, OC, or DC) -- see wade phillips, bill belichick -- adapt their systems to the players on their rosters. Cardinals are in for a world of pain. But, that's probably also ironically the best reason to draft Murray....shot in the arm for the fanbase while watching a shit show due to Keim and noob HC.
