The ANZAC stuff is so overdone. The link between war and football is tenuous at best. Have a small pre match ceremony by all means but spare us the rest please.

It’s walking a fine line imo, especially when it comes to selling ANZAC-branded merch like the commemorative guernseys that most clubs have made over the last few years. There’s something that just doesn’t feel right about making money off these things, even if part (a very small part I believe) goes to the RSL.

Topping up his pension?
Yes and no. I reckon the unrelenting series of fines Lewis gets would outstrip his match payments. He'd be better off unselected and just seeing out his time.

End of 1st quarter and interesting to see Melbourne bring it in slowly in the last 2 minutes to set up a shot from the pocket. 3-4 Tigers players near the goal square and ready to defend and I thought they just got back quicker. But Melbourne just had 1-2 players there and didn't bother trying to get any more in. It probably looked different there but it was all i could see on TV. Pretty reliant on getting some sort of score and the kick for goal not falling short.

1st quarter but jeez Jordan Lewis looks cooked as a player. I struggle to see why he was selected.

Lewis is cooked but is apparently getting games because of the new runner rules. He's acting as an on-field coach which makes sense because their defensive coaches are useless.

Having possession and dropping the ball on the ground and picking it up again is NOT tapping it on. That should be incorrect disposal. No surprises the commentators don't know the difference.

Incorrect disposal is practically extinct apart from the odd times they pull it out of nowhere at a crucial moment.

Umpires so preoccupied with rule changes and bullshit infringements that theyve forgotten the fundamentals of the game.

lol Adam goodes did a lot of stuff to garner the boos that have absolutely nothing to do with his skin colour. Let's not forget he spent a while there sliding knees first into people he even did it to one of ours basically with impunity on game day.

We are also a club that after Dangerfield left the Crows for whatever reason our fans booed him in Adelaide, figure that one out. So all in all the best players have been booed for all time for no other reason than they are good players. Look at all the shit Tredrea copped and it wasn't because he's white.

He did play dirty in 2015 and was booed for it. Problem was, the people booing for non-racial reasons were inadvertently providing cover for the racists who shouted some bloody dispicable things to Goodes which made it into a racial issue. Goodes didn't help things with his spear throwing goal celebration but that didn't make him any less of a victim of racial vilification.

****ing Abbey

YEAH GUYS HES ****ED HE CANT PUT WEIGHT ON IT

The commentators had just covered that in detail, then you interjected and said exactly the same thing over the top of them while play was going on.

Go away

This game is boring and there's no atmosphere at all. Typical overrated VFL experience.

Lol @ the advertisement for the Victorian state government wanting their "fair share" from Canberra going around the LED signs at the G.

Like Victoria isn't the darling of every government ever.
