Can someone tell me where the hype for Petracca comes from? I got my arse chewed out last year on the main board calling him an average player that wont be able to stand up in the midfield, yet to be proved wrong.

Has the size, swagger, potential and draft pick to be a star. Looks over-weight for mine and struts around like he thinks he's Darren Jarman.

Is Hocking actually for real or is he just reading off AFL engineered cue cards?
He's now so out of touch with reality, it's almost painful
What he doesn't realise is that fans haven't been complaining about the umpires, they've been furious about the rule changes, interpretations and lack of consistency that he's brought in. How many frees have been awarded for what Sicily and O'Meara did since round two?

So you think poorly of Silk who is extremely proactive in calling out racism

Winmar lifting up his shirt, did far more than Goodes media justifications.

The difference between the two, was Winmar actions was a statement to say that is who he was and he was proud of who was. He was proud to identify himself as being aboriginal, I respected him for that and his obvious courage to stand in front of those that labeled him, to prove to them that he was better than their ignorant beliefs.

Goodes words was always done behind a camera. The only time his actions spoke was pointing out a 13 year old so security could remove her publicly. He then went on to victimise himself and vilify those that didn’t agree with his views. Goodes is a racist himself in the way he has vilified others to promote his cause. The sad thing is, that at times his messages which are mostly right, get lost in his portrayal of them.

Betts, I don’t mind. With Betts it’s more to do with the commantry bs in his games, you get that, it’s not his fault.
His views on raceism is expressing at how disappointed he is that it is still a thing. I agree with him, it is disappointing that bigoted people think it’s an insult to highlight a person skin colour. Hoping in time that perception changes.

Burgoyne preaches more on acceptance of each other rather than focusing on skin colour. Great message, he does a great job with it. Hawthorn great.

These are just my views and opinions, I didn’t include Cyril, as I haven’t really heard him speak much on rasicm. I did include Winmar, as Winmar was one of the first to highlight the ignorance of racism.

If one the greatest coaches in AFL history is “flying blind” after 4 rounds with regards to the rules, you have real problems. The game as a spectacle has never been worse under Gill and Hocking’s watch and their answer is to blame everyone else. We don’t like blaming the umpires but sometimes you have to shoot the messenger because the writers are up in their ivory towers and won’t come down to face the music.

Did Hawthorn even make a play for Stack?

Ah well at least we got Ned Reaves.

We seem to draft the same old vanilla role players and avoid taking a risk on a S. S. Type.

We're compiling a good amount of list cloggers at box hill and have done for a few years. Obviously not having access to early picks has contributed, but once again, we still seem to target the same type of players.

They're really starting to remind me of that special type of career manager you typically come across in the public service. The type that lacks the awareness to identify self organising teams coupled with a lack of composure plus ego that insists the way forward is for them to actively "manage" things. So whenever the come into a new area, they immediately just start changing processes. It's the equivalent of a dog wandering around pissing on fence posts. They change the filing system. Now no one can find anything. Complaints about same are met with "No, this is better" and it's inferred that the complainant is the problem.

I genuinely reckon Steve Hocking has missed his calling. He could've been a wonderful EL2 in the ATO.

* Not suggesting all public servant managers are like this. Some are very good. If you're a public service manager reading this, I'm totally not talking about you.

You wouldn’t make a very good EL2. Your paragraph was clear, concise and to the point. It contained no buzzwords and didn’t suggest a follow up meeting. Stick to your current job.

* If your paragraph was ghost written by your direct subordinate and you passed it off as your work, all is forgiven.

Buzzwords - you sure know your public servants!!!!

Spot on. I know first hand how tricky football can be to umpire, so I can forgive mistakes and uncertainty from the officials on the field. They're being thrown under the bus by ever increasing grey areas in rules.
The air of utter denial in the responses from the AFL isn't anything new but it just seems, to me anyway, more infuriating than previous seasons

Watching Birds of Tokyo playing pre Anzac match. Apart from the fact that they really shouldn’t be there (stupid AFL - not really necessary) this band forever reminds me of the 2012 GF whenever I hear that Lanterns on song....or whatever it’s called.

Birds of Tokyo played at the 2013 GF

What, we have pre-match entertainment for ANZAC Day now? I thought they had a little remembrance ceremony. That seems unnecessary. (Don't turn it on on until the match actually starts these days so am out of touch).

Another comedy display by Hooker!
