I'll take our side over theirs. Their list is full of older and not very good players. Our younger players are better.

Will be tight on current form

It shouldn’t be

Rozee is a gun

They got him pick 5

We watch mills etc piss about with the ball instead

The top 10 in last years draft (maybe even up to 20) could well be the best draft of all time in terms of A grade talents.

Not the class of some of these kids and never will be IMO
Mills is a plodder , again imo

Yet one of the only kids being made into a plodder. Who knows how he could’ve been if he was given the license to be a ball-winner from the get-go. Reckon he’d look a whole lot more confident than he does right now.

Who knows

He didn’t play the tac cup so we don’t know if he was an elite junior against the best kids.

This is my opinion and of a very small sample was in Jlt 1 and he looked so far out of his depth.
I understand it’s one game but we all know when a player has the talent to be a grade in that area , see Walsh etc of very short sample and again this is what mills supposed to rated.

Again IMO I think he is a B grade at best we’re ever he plays and has been overrated big time.

Hope he shuts my mouth and proves me wrong.

I think you are right, what we’ve seen so far is B grade at best. But it’s still too soon to say if that’s all he’ll be, because he hasn’t had a decent run at a position that he thrived in.

You compare him to Walsh who showed something straight away, that’s because he was given license to play exactly how he played at TAC level. It would’ve been a natural transition into senior footy.

Mills looked dodgy as a midfielder in the JLT, but that’s because all he’s known as a senior footballer is being a defender. It will take time to un-do the parts of his game he’s learnt in the back line and let him focus on just winning the footy with less pressure.

But if he is so natural and highly rated by some as a mid your show some signs and nothing was shown in the pre season

He traits are not elite either , yes he has courage and can read the game behind the ball but nothing else tells me he will be an elite mid.

Just my opinion but I think he will let a few down

But how can we know? A lot of his midfield instincts I think would have been compromised as part of his four years as a defender. But they’re obviously there. He just needs to be given the chance to rediscover them.

Something about Mills as a player obviously made for a very prolific on-baller that was almost universally rated as elite. I can’t say what it was as I never saw him pre-draft. But those attributes won’t have left him at age 22.

Show he showed and hasn’t it’s simple

IMO still too early to say still Punts

In any case, even if Mills was the biggest potato in the competition, what coach takes an elite mid from junior level, uses a first round pick on him (at pick 3 no less!) and then plays him in the back pocket?! History will look back on this and condemn Horse.
