Let us look at this situation objectively

Pros for us

- Off-field stability (arguably)
- Dr Sonja and Clarko seem to have a very respectful and professional working relationship
- Albeit nearly 30 years ago, but Clarko used to play for us
- We don't have a coach contracted for next year
- Good nucleus of young players

Cons for us

• SmAlL cLuB (FWIW I don't really consider this a factor)
• No recruiting department
• List with some pretty sizeable holes
• Rightly or wrongly, probably seen as a longer haul project

Pros for Essendon

• BiG cLuB (well-resourced and well supported.... by campaigners)
• List obviously has talent given they played finals last year
• ...I dunno what else?

Cons for Essendon

• Place is an absolute rabble at the minute, I say that without hyperbole
• The way they are hanging Rutten out to dry, not sure I'd look at that and think "hmmm this place values its employees"
• Rutten still contracted so he will look like a prick and a hypocrite if he takes the job

1. GWS already ruled out.
2. Essendon still have a coach contracted for next year.
3. Essendon have made no offers.
4. Essendon are a rabble.
5. The only coaching vacancy after he’s ruled out GWS is at NMFC.
6. NMFC are the only ones with a definite offer on the table.
7. Of the two remaining only due diligence done has been on NMFC.
8. Clarkson and his manager reported to be meeting with NMFC tomorrow.
9. Watch the Sonja Hood video again.

If you can put all the above together and come up with an answer other than he’s coaching North - have a go.

Also interesting that Caro mentioned the meeting with North tomorrow. Just saying - he tells North yes at the meeting and signs his contract. Announcement as per Chadwikos rumour. It all makes complete sense.

Don’t agree. It’s NOT tough for Essendon they put themselves in this situation whilst still having a coach. They’ve chosen to chase Clarko whilst still having a coach and not having the courage to sack their coach! It’s tough for Truck - YES! How can he have any sympathy for Essendon! I don’t have a good feeling.
