particularly given the uncomfortable and dismal fact that Australia is, for all intents and purposes, in the midst of a DV epidemic, with one woman being murdered by an intimate partner every 9 days on average. It's a disgrace and there absolutely should be zero tolerance from the AFL

Say she was deliberately baiting him to illicit a desired response in order to use that response against him as some kind of insurance or payback should he choose to leave her. Blackmail is most certainly a form of DV.
