Wish we had a Liam Baker type to add to the trade for Reid. Probs get it done for the Baker-boy & a Future 1st.

We have a few potentially tradeable assets in Hustwaite, Serong, Mitchell, Reeves, Ramsden.

Mind you none of them are close to being an established quality AFL level player like Baker was. But they are talented, and most would get games for bottom eight / developing sides, and they may want to move to see more game-time.

Maybe Morrison and Frost are experienced senior players that may move? But I like them both as a depth player for us, and hope they stick around.

When Judd left West Coast he was a bonafide star - Brownlow Medalist and premiership captain. They received for him Pick 3 and Josh Kennedy who at the time was an up and coming forward with loads of potential but certainly not a huge name.

At the moment we have Carlton's 1st and 2nd and our future first (assuming no players are open to a trade to West Coast)

If Carlton's ends up being top 5 then maybe 1st an 2nd and f1 might be enough for Reid

Personally I am more excited about the prospect of Oscar Allen - he's exactly what we need if Mitch Lewis stalls in his comeback

I’m really struggling to see why we would want Reid at the price he would command? Seriously, if we had Cal Dear and kick straighter like we should have then we beat the Giants by 8 goals Saturday night! Is Ed Richards gettable as I would rather he join us.

I was thinking we’d replace Lewis with Oscar Allen as a FA.- no loss there

Also hoping that both Ward and Mackenzie go past Worpel by years end. I personally don’t see room for both Nash and Worpel (in addition to Newk) in the same midfield.

We could then use pick 1 to target someone like Butters I guess.

He’s a bull, got good acceleration out of a contest and can bomb it while also being a good kick to a lead.

Reframe that to. Sam has a Week's holiday and is catching up with friends from his days as a legend at the Eagles & wanted to watch the talent on show at Optus stadium.

Sadly, it was a low quality showing from Allen & Reid. If Sammy met them, he would have tried to figure out their current mindset and if they would fit in with what he is building.

I am sure both will be putting an improved show in coming weeks if they did catch up with Sam.

Insanely strong for his size is an under rated quality. Libba has done very well with this skill
