Why wouldn't we throw some money at Rowan Marshall? Surely he's gunna be pissed off once TDK comes in and takes his spot.

Same age as Darcy Cameron but one year extra on his contract. Cameron is rumoured to be very underpaid, so you can see why he would want to cash in on his likely last contract. Saints imo would want more for Marshall then the Pies would want for Cameron if the reason for Cameron to leave was because they can’t afford to pay him what he deserves. Even more so if he’s a 2x premiership player for them at that stage.

There is a rumour in Adelaide from the main man Rowey (SA version of Goss) that if TDK goes to Saints, Marshall is very keen to go to Adelaide. (ROB ends up at Brissy)

It's up there with no hope Dev.

Maybe he'll get the girls wet when he takes off his shirt but that's as good as it gets.

Don't be jelly bby.

At least Dev is totally free at this point, if we were inclined. Rivers is an average player that would cost way too much to acquire.

Phillips is the one for mine, good Sheed replacement. Alternatively happy to just keep hitting the draft.

Sugar hit. We need to go to the draft.
Yes.

.. and that ruck we take in the draft may or may not be a bust and may or may not come good in 5 years.
We really need to fix the issue we have now.

Ed Allan starting to look like a genuine footballer out on the wing, rather than just an athlete.

Would be keen to ask the question of Allan and see if we can package up both Allan and Cameron.

Is Mcphee available this year I know he has been injured a lot of the season
I love his kicking and ability to defend one on one
Out of contract this year, would be a great get if we could prize him out of Melbourne.
Flown under the radar with the Kozzi contract, I haven’t heard much talk about him wanting to leave

Looking at the D Cameron trade with the collywobbles, they have 2 FS/MCGUANE/LONIE & 2 NGA players MCCARTHY/SAXENA to pick up these trade period.
Rough estimates MCGUANE rated 25, MCCARTHY rated 30, SAXENA rated 40, LONIE rated 55.

That's 2021 draft points to match all 4 and they have 842 so they need a minimum of 1200 to get their desired draftees.

I would happily give up WC 2nd round pick 19 and Hawks 3rd round pick 50 being 1221 points or alternatively our future 3rd pick 38 equal to 1400 points without giving up a player like BW.
That's just my alternative to BW or JW being part of a trade, both are required players and JW is a no touch player.
With Gov gone, OA gone and most likely Barnett delisted that's 3 KP players gone this year which sleeping on it is too much.

You don't think he improves our lower to mid floor for absolutely nothing?

I watched Caton play yesterday and he's well and truly back on my draft radar. Even losing Gov and Sheed to retirement and Allen to FA, we still need another 6 delistments to be able to take our first 3 picks plus Walley, Evans, Williams & Caton and then there is Banfield as a FS as well. If the club wants all 5 (Caton needs to continue to improve over the rest of the year but I would definitely be drafting the first 3 NGA's) we need to delist 6 and that's before we even look at trading players in.

So i've given the first 3, coming up with another 8 players to move on is a lot to be able to trade in 2 players as well. Coming up with say 8 more means all of Chesser, Bazzo, Livingstone, Hunt, Barnett, Jamieson, Petrucelle, Rawlinson are off the list.

We obviously have coin in the cap to have been able to offer a rumoured $1.2-$1.4M per year for Chad Warner. Is there someone else of that type of money we should be tapping in the shoulder?

I don't think it's worth the club pursuing a player worth huge amounts of money as the trade collateral to get them either wipes out pick 2 (if the club gets it) or wipes out potential future first or Hawks first + WCE second round plus future second round min.

Also next year our 2 main NGA's are looking the goods. McGlade and Kenh could both be first round picks. We will need points.

Ludicrous as it sounds, why not offer Pendels the Sam Mitchell deal.
Could certainly offer him more coin than Pies, coaching path at a different club (dependent on his after playing career goals). 2 year contract (money goes to Warner after that)
Dont ask you don’t get. Would be a phenomenal get for the younger guys in the team

I've (I feel like shooting myself for saying this) watched every Collingwood game this year and there have been a few games where Pendles has looked like the game has gone past him. Playing as a primary midfielder for us as opposed to very secondary as part of a great midfield at Collingwood I don't think he's worth chasing.

The big difference too is that Mitchell wasn't going to be offered a contract at the Hawks so it was move to keep playing where as if Pendles wants it Collingwood will give him a 1 year contract to break the all time games record.

Hypothetically though if the AFL were to allow us the Old El Paso, would that change your mind?
I know we took Baker and Graham last year to add senior depth / class / leadership, but if one of those dudes goes down we go back to a very young midfield.
I'd like Dev to come in and replace Kelly. Kelly somehow got a new deal, so he's stuck on the list, but right now Kelly gets a game solely because of "senior player" status.
Dev as a hardened 24/25 year old fits the mold for nothing. If the AFL gave us extra NGA spots as has been rumoured / touted, it is a no brainer given our cap power.

definitely need another 6-7 on top of Gov, Sheed, OA.
I would be keeping Bazzo and Livingstone as depth and developing and adding Cripps to the retiring players.
If WC add another couple of players through trade apart from Cameron, Busslinger/Erasmus we will need another spot and then it will come down to Bazzo or Livingstone in trouble.

If the club got an extra few list spots I would be very agreeable to trading in a couple of players. The problem is if Hall develops further over the year and the preseason he's starting to get a look at games every week.

There is no way you can fit Graham, Hall and Robertson in the same side. Just too much poor disposal imo. I'd rather chase others even at the cost of the clubs second round picks this year than Robertson for free.

Just my opinion.

It's just that we're already over the list cap by 2. Even if we get pick 2, before any trades just to use pick 1,2,~13 plus pick up the 4 nga's plus Charlie Banfield the club already needs to move on 10 players.

So bringing in a couple of players via trade we either delisting players what us as supporters don't want to lose or we're losing players as part of the trade.

It is valid too, completely. I understand it, but also - we're the worst team in the league by a huge margin. Good sides have depth and options - right now our depth is washed up former talent, too old or too young solid contributers and Tim Kelly. Hall may or not come good. Hopefully he does, but either way options are nice - the Beagles need some help either way.

I wonder who else would be after Dev?

That’s basically what a clubs top 3 player is going to be on going forward. I’d be happy to pay that for a player that comes in and is a top 3 player in our club.
Biggest issue is what bringing a player in on that coin does to your draft hand.

He's already indicated he wants to play on next season and no doubt Collingwood will accommodate.
