Tough choice. I dont think we really should be moving Berry as he is absolutely vital for our structure out wide. We missed him massively when he was out earlier in the year.

Could up Will and Levi's mid time. Other option would be free Dunkley up as the main man and have Dev do the defensive role

Yeah wouldn't be totally WAsh stepping into the first string midfield brigade and Dev getting a run

Go McLachlan and up Cam, Zac and Bez's CBA attendance. Also give Levi some I suppose.

No way it’s dev IMO, we have a stacked midfield starved of opportunities so surely neales role is just shared amongst Levi, Bailey, Rayner, Marshall etc
Name and post do not match

Lachie Neale out until finals. :'(

Time for Dev step up and save his career.

WOW! That is huge, backing our other mids to lift. Updated >

Outs- Ryan Lester, Lachie Neale.

Ins- Bruce Reville, Luke Beecken/Reece Torrent/James Tunstill.

Sub- One of the 3 listed above who missed out.

Personally I think they will go with L & W Ashcroft, Dunkley, Rayner filling in inside so no Dev.

Where's Jarryd Lyons when you need him.

With 10 players out on our injury list, means almost a quarter of our list is now out and with a minimum of two inclusions needed this week, leaving only 11 other listed players remaining with 5 of them yet to debut.

Might make those Hippy needs to be dropped calls a touch silly now.

Whilst obviously not ideal, it is exciting to see what other options we might run with here.

We know what Lachie produces and it’s obviously a high level, although personally I do not believe this year has been as high as previous years.

The good news is we will get him back cherry ripe for finals, and hopefully we might find something we didn’t know we had in the next few weeks, which we can also run with in the finals if required.

The midfield crew will be switched on this week - show they can do it without Lachie. Expect record numbers from WAsh.

So out for the year:

Kiddy, Payne, Answerth, Linc

Missing until finals: Lohmann, Neale, Mckenna

Missing a functioning body: Oscar

So 7 gf or prem players

Certainly makes it hard - if we cop any more injuries will be the problem. Our depth is running out.
Expanding on this; those available that didn't play against Collingwood or are injured with their games listed, noting I've considered McInerney "injured" based on Fages said last night:

Played AFL - Robertson (46), Doedee (82), Day (165), Ryan (4), McLachlan (5), Brain (9), Joyce (24)

Limited Experience / Yet to Debut - Lloyd (0), Zakostelsky (0), Gallop (1), Torrent (0), Beecken (0), Craven (0)

Two need to come in from that list for Lachie and Froggy.

I'd probably go Robertson and either Brain / Beecken.

In all seriousness, Dan Annable would probably be the 'in' if it was at all possible.
Perhaps the club can apply to Swanny for "special consideration" under the Northern Expansion academy pre-selection rules, to get him listed ahead of the draft and into seniors.

Lachie Neale out for 4 weeks with quad injury FFS

I think we can cover most, the ones you would least like to lose now in order would be.

Harris Andrews > Hugh McCluggage > Zorko > Berry.

That's an extensive injury list. I get the sense we don't really care where we finish on the ladder, just want to hit finals fresh. We know we can beat anyone, anywhere and you know what, this approach is fair enough.

So from last week,

Out: Lester, Neale
In: Doedee, McLachlan

I'd say with Reville spending more time on the wing and Levi into the coalface.

Lachie is an extractor and first user. The only other guy on the list who primarily plays that role who has the miles in his legs is Dev. He must come in. I am now thinking Brain for Lester. At least we know what we will get. We can of course go with Doedee as Sub and retain Reville who did an ok job last week but I like the more aggressive defensive style of Brain against the small Sydney forward line. Reville back to Sub.
