Who has done that? I dont know any Freo fans who have been calling us Flagmantle this year and expecting a premiership.

It's not some inflated ego thing. Flagmantle is a tongue in cheek tag that the footy media and every man and their dog (including Freo supporters and their dogs) uses after any sort of half decent win Freo manages to somehow achieve. It's not meant to be taken seriously.

but we finished 6th and 7th respectively. logic says this will be a close game and i hope it is. that's good for footy. the worst thing that could happen would be a completely one-sided, dominant game*

Home crowd is a huge advantage. Suns never played in front of 60K. Just hoping noise of affirmation will not be as bad as Port game.

It's great when two often beaten down supporter groups get to enjoy life for a change. Really happy the Suns fans get their chance although I get the feeling these sides and fan bases will be seeing a bit of each other in the next few years.
