Maybe be can pass on some good farming tips.

Very nice. And I respect him not taking an easy few hundred grand to 'play' for one year. He had an incredible career at Geelong so he didn't need to add a 10+ game stain at West Coast to his glittering career.

It may well be that the offer of playing was to move some of his payment out of the soft cap area into the player cap where we have a small ocean of available funds next year.

Over 300 games of AFL experience with a top team versus 33 games with the Freo losers.

Seems like the Leadership role seems to be very popular. I wonder if Mini tries to get Cotchin to do a similar role for us like he has at the Lions?

I'd really really like us to start hiring on the fore-foot when it comes to taking the on-field strategy towards a more modern game. Mini is a good start, and Duncan will be as well. I'd love a high quality SANFL coach to come in, or one from ADL/PTA SANFL programs, to help the especially younger players with getting up to speed with the new last disposal out of bound rules. Another reason to look at drafting the SA boys this year.

Adds a lot of experience as an assistant to a very young group of coaches. I don’t rate him as a head coach, but as an assistant might be alright (just keep him away from ball movement into the forward line).
