100% correct.
Which is why everyone applauding him for speaking about his genuine mental health issues and then lambasting him for this are complete hypocrites.
Whilst not condoning Bailey Smith’s behaviour
I think the answer is in the detail
The photographer seems surprised and stated she had no problem with photographing Duncan earlier
Different player, different circumstances, she can’t automatically assume that Bailey Smith is okay being photographed while receiving treatment
Yes, she was invited to training but this is where it begins to get a little murky
Does that mean that she can take photographs of anyone at any time and everything she sees?
Geelong is also at fault here because maybe they need to put stricter or more concise rules around who what can be photographed
I’m amused by the fact that photographers think they can take photos of anybody and everybody involved in sport not understanding any legals around this. I’m not sure that is 100% correct.
Another clue is that Bailey Smith has had a run with her before. Geelong would be aware of it and the photographer would be aware of it so why weren’t rules put in place around photographing Ball Smith and also why didn’t said photographer perhaps be a little careful around taking photos of Bailey Smith
And to me a bit of a storm in a teacup how Smith reacted, a few words were said nobody was threatened or hurt
Geelong and Bailey Smith offer an apology sit down and work out moving forward. How best to handle the situation in the future end of story.
