Surely we have a look at curtin if we keep a second round pick. If he can get fit he’ll be a bargain pick up. Would be ideal if we were to miss on Schubert

I been high on Curtin for a while and pushing the same thing.

Depends who's still on the board but honestly, our 2nd rounder is fine with me, that'll probably be 25 odd.

One of the many reasons why i hope we milk a couple draft picks from the AFL.

Can do a lot worse than a 200cm goal kicking monster. Not an athlete but a footballer.

Curtin looks like an upgrade on Jack Williams to me, and I’m a Jack Williams fan. Definitely worth a look if he’s around at our 2nd or even if we keep the hawks first potentially which will be in the 20s.

I’m not as high as some others on Schubert. I don’t like the idea of spending a high pick on a tall forward when it is our area of least need, and I equally don’t like the idea of spending a high pick on a forward to then try to turn them into a defender.

Also there’s a decent chance that Dougie Cochrane may be available to us next year and we need to work out what Archer Reid is, so taking a year off from drafting KPFs is not a bad idea.

With that being said, Cody Curtin with our second round pick is extremely tempting. I think he could be a monster as a deep forward/second ruck and compliment Shanahan very well.

If he and Fred are both available do we take the classy Mid or the KPF? Neither would make our next pick at around pick 40. Fred might I guess with his poor back end of the season fighting Whan and Robinson for possessions.

Schubert can play KPD too. He's worth a top 10 pick. Doesn't hurt to bolster KPP stocks if we get early mids in Duursma and Sharp. If we can get Curtin or similar at 25 its not world ending if we miss on Schubert.

Having enough picks isn’t going to be much of an issue

It’s the number of spots on the main list that will be the limiting factor

Trade in 3 players (Starcevich and 2 others)
Leave a spot to add Banfield as a F/S with a late pick
Use 3x R1 picks - 1,2 and the Hawks pick which me might try to get further up the order with

That’s the 7 main list spots we have available filled

How Clarke, Massey and co handle this offseason is going to intriguing (and scary for those who lost faith in Clarke last year)

What a moment to have your best performance of the season! Xavier Taylor stepped up to the occasion, thriving under the pressure of the big stage to dominate defensively for Eastern. His team were sliced open at times by the Dragons ball movement and run, but Taylor was the defensive wall all game, disrupting moves and intercepting the ball, then running hard the other way to take on the game in buccaneering style. It's been a strong close to the season for Xavier, and this performance will have done his top 10 chances no harm.

Have Cripps and Jamieson confirmed as signed on? I’d be happy to delist Barnett to create a list spot for Curtin.

Livingstone is a Cat B rookie so delisting him doesn’t open up a main list spot.

Cripps has reportedly been offered a contract but that’s still to be officially confirmed

If we get additional rookie list spots from the AFL we could potentially move Barnett there to create an extra spot on the main list - which hopefully we do
