Touk Miller announced as AFL Multicultural Ambassador in 2020

SUNS vice-captain Touk Miller has been unveiled as one of 11 AFL/AFLW players to serve as a 2020 AFL Multicultural Ambassador.

I am sure the AFL Multicultural Ambassador favours the clubs, the AFL wants it to favour.

They have been been interfering for a long time.Look at the assistance they gave Melbourne,employing a CEO, then a coach,Roos.And look at the result of that.
Brad Scott to the Bombers is questionable after they found him a job at the AFL.
Dimma didn't just accidently finish up at the Suns without some enticement.

Its why I think Perth Bears coming in 2027 to the NRL is a good thing

It might wake up the AFL that a heartland is under threat.

For 30 years the AFL has neglected the west on the basis there was no real threat.

Perth Bears will be around for a long time unlike the Western Reds and they just signed today the richest sleeve sponsor in the game worth 1.2mill. Where the average is 600-700k for that part of the jersey in the NRL.

Haven't even got to main sponsors yet.

They will be a financial powerhouse from day 1 the next step will be getting on field results.

Apart from being a parochial west Ozzie - I’d love to see the bears have success regardless of the AwFL
As I’m sure most west Ozzie’s would as well , not to mention perth always gets behind it’s state teams big time if their successful.

Would certainly be some schadenfruede watching the grub Victorian board of the AFL suddenly trying to appease the 2 WA clubs wishes.

That said knowing how the AFL operates it ll only be until long after they should have followed by rushing through totally un thought out remedies

Whatever you think of him, V'landys is a force of nature. Hell, he even talked the government into funding an NRL team as a tool of foreign policy.

The Bears aren't an attempt to grow the game of rugby league, they are an assault on an AFL heartland, like Richard I in the Holy Lands.

Ill be throwing my support behind them for sure. Been a broncos fan since the 90s but the idea of following a brand new team excites me.

Being a Broncos fan as a non-Queenslander seems out of whack to me. Like supporting the Eagles over here (very high ick factor there). If you need a change, go with the Raiders and get the genuine article, not some transplanted failures from north Sydney!

Wait til their first come from behind victory. Lord knows of all the 'news' outlets in Aus, the West's sense of propriety (or lack thereof) will make that a tense night in the editor's room.

I predict Neale spends a good part of the game forward. The Ashcrofts especially Levi were playing more forward when Neale was fit and firing, I expect lachie to just reverse the positions. It makes sense, his forward craft is pretty reasonable and Geelong would be taking a risk to try and run off him too much
