Its 100% his decision but the Lions are also not really falling over themselves to keep him so he probably has to go or take unders. Coleman for example would be a fair replacement next year.

Part of being a top team and managing your salary cap and trying to have a fresh list. It helps when you have so many guns on your list.

Coleman isn’t remotely the same type of player as Ah Chee and has barely played for 2 years now

Did Ah Chee play on the wing today?

He was very good at times but also seemed to be on Dempsey for parts and Dempsey got a lot of it.

He plays everywhere. Usually starts forward and then you’ll see him on the wing or even in deep defense at times. Super hard worker both ways. Underrated pace too for a guy that is also a great overhead mark.

Coleman isn’t remotely the same type of player as Ah Chee and has barely played for 2 years now

The Lions had about half a dozen players out today that would push for a spot in their best team. Their squad is stacked with more players coming through. They will be able to cover Ah Chee. They can't keep everyone.

Couple of other little snippets:
-Asked "what the F happened in finals?" - conceded 'nothing happened' laughing in jest.
-Was looking at Courts/Legal avenues for Izak but felt would have been way too much of a circus/distraction if kept dragging out
-knows our midfield not good enough to compete with best
-Pete Malinauskas actually a nice guy
-Matt Rowelll a great young man

We need more than just that, does he think Nicks is useless and please tell me we aren’t re-signing him early.

Yeah i thought he was alright, but when the game was there to be won, Ah Chee had him covered.

I couldn't tell if they were lining up head to head, if they were, both had their moments.

More just highlighting I thought Dempsey played a well rounded game. 1.1 with 11 touches at half time and was missed with an over the top kick where got into a great position. Actually blows my mind how damaging he is able to get in front of goals without ever seemingly getting burned the other way - at least that highlighted in the media.

Just to add - I fully expected that too, for context it was a very friendly/jovial chat and I certainly wasn't being an 'annoying fan nuffy' etc...

I said in jest "I heard Petracca likes Adelaide's food and wine culture" - he just laughed.

I was a little more direct towards end of convo and said "Surely we should get Ah Chee?" he said "haha ok we'll give you that, we will try to get Ah Chee". Again very polite/friendly chat.

I was lucky enough to be in the Actual AFL marquee in the September club. Triple M, NAB, Toyota and Sportsbet were the main other ones.

There were some serious heavy hitters in there.... TV celebs, politicians, CEO's, footy greats.
