We need later picks this year more than anything else so we can match on King, Carmichael, and Kyle

Swap the 2027 2nd coming back for a 2nd rounder this year and it's still overs, but doable. If we can get a 2nd and a 3rd back this season then that should just about balance out while still giving Carlton the overs they wanted.

Love to know what the story was with rowbottom. If he was shopped around by the club , it’s conceivable he didn’t want to rush into a decision at the last minute when there is limited options available. Could spend th next 12 months planning a move to a club of choice .

The issue is, we didn't lose grand finals because of any team structure issue.

I agree (except I do think the decision that longmire had around playing too many tall players who were structurally important but injured at the time were counter-productive)

there are rarely more than 10 contested marks by forwards in a game and with curnow we might go from 8 to 11. The ball will be directed at him probably 30 times per game and he will mark it about 6 times and will be outmarked about 6. Its the other 18 that really matter
