Rules of engagement:

1. Bring valid news or links to Twitter posts from notable sources. Don’t post screenshots or “some bloke just said on SEN” or what some “trade whisperer” has posted on a Facebook page.

2. Ignore what other team boards are putting up as trade offers. Don’t quote or bring them here either.

3. Don’t post “buckle up” for the lols.

4. If you can’t say anything nice about Worpel or CJ, don’t say anything at all. The continued slaps and backhanders are just going to be deleted.

My lord that video was atrocious. Felt bad for Harry being stuck with that clown.

As other posters have mentioned, most of the players (and coaches) could not stand Ryan Burton. FIGJAM of the highest order.

I still recall Burton trying to urge a Hawks staff member to hurry up and get out of the circle when the team was getting ready to sing the song. Hodgey had some stern words for Ryan - something like "Don't do that!"

It's a shame you can't on trade players in the AFL. Get another club to trade for Merrett at a reasonable price and then trade with them for him at a slightly better price.

Given the AFL's infatuation with American sports, it might happen sooner rather than later.

The trust deficit with Essendon will permeate the entire system. Their own players will be cautious around contract extensions. Only journeymen will look to be traded in, and player managers won't advise a move there unless there's no alternative club to take them. It was hard to get a best 22 to go there from us, but now all clubs looking to trade with them will struggle to convince their players to go to a club that is not only poor onfield, but toxic off it. Boys will be dreading the Bombres drafting them, and looking for the exit once their first contract is up. And list management professionals will avoid Tulla like the plague.

And they might have to offer exorbitant salaries, like St Kilda, for players to even think about going there.

None of them will move the noodle for us next year, I think we’re better off having a massive arsenal for the trade and FA market for a real crack in 27.

We should be able to get a F1 with pick 22, so I hope we take pick 10 to the draft.
