Therein lies the issue with jHird. He speaks with authority and is quite articulate and people think he knows his stuff.

But so much of what he says is out of whack or just plain dumb. I very much doubt he even watches that much footy.
Honestly, I think the bummers made a mistake moving on Matthew Knights when they did. IMV he was an ideal coach to bring on a young list.

The bummers went on a wild ride bringing in Hird and Bomba Thompson, and assorted doctors and nurses. And they shat on themselves with all that Who-Haar...

And to this day, the same Hubris that started all that shemozzle... has still Ling-ered like a rotten smell stuck in a bathroom time-warp.
Any recruits coming to the Bummers should bring their own packet of Nose pegs, when entering the hanger.

And one could say the the Blues have also hit that same bottle of Hubris, for the past 20 or so years.

I like the way you spell Ling-ered, sHealy.

So are we assuming we will use 7, 8 and 37 at the draft and the next 2 picks on White and Sinnema? Is that right?
I don't reckon...

I think we will take two top 10's... and wait to see what eventuates before closing our books... whether we will trade up from 7 & 8... or trade 8 down into two in the teens.?

Yeah looks good with his run and attacking mindset. Kicking as you say looks ok but not a huge weapon from that video.

Was just wondering something - who we pick at 7/8 might depend on where we see Langford/Lindsay/Windsor/Tholstrop and even Culley playing long-term. If we feel they are all mids, then we should target a half-back distributor for sure.

But if say Lindsay is seen as a half-back (or Windsor, shudder) or Tholstrop is only viewed as a half-forward then we probably should look at genuine mids.

We sure need to rebuild our Mids.

But Also our tall backs especially. XT. Maybe a replacement for lever.?

Xavier Taylor
Eastern Ranges/Vic Metro
DEF, 191cm
National Championships: 4 games, 15 disposals, 4.5 marks
Talent League: 16 games, 17.9 disposals, 5.9 marks

Taylor always makes the right play. Early in the season it was his lockdown roles that got the defender noticed, but increasing confidence with the ball has seen the athletic tall become a halfback distributor, linebreaker and game-changer. Taylor's capacity to lock down, intercept, rebound and link up in transition is highly valued. There are elements of Josh Weddle's game, who has blossomed from an undersized key defender into a do-it-all phenom for Hawthorn.

King must have really hated the culture he's walked into it would seem.
Not accurate entirely.

He must have got the job through being candid about where he saw the culture, and how it needs to be addressed.

We won’t see the results for a few years yet - two might not be enough.

But I have had enough and I’m behind him to be given enough power to have a stab at it.
