I might be biased as a long-term Duursma devotee, but I’d take him over the likes of Draper, FOS, Smith and Langford.

None of the four can boast his combination of physical upside, athleticism and production. His versatility as an extra forward or back marking target is a cherry on top that none of them offer and makes him more bust-proof.

The fact that he offers so much whilst being physically underdeveloped is so exciting. He also seems like a consummate pro with lessons learned from his siblings making the transition to footy easier.

Really delighted that we have such a clear and obvious prospect to take with limitless potential.

As an aside: two years ago when Harley was drafted I was on a busy Hanoi street, charging back to my hotel, navigating perilous traffic whilst glued to my phone. This year I’ll be in Ho Chin Minh City enjoying impossibly cheap beers and enjoying the show with more tranquility. The lesson being: if you want a number one pick, book me a flight to Vietnam in November.

1. Duursma
2. CDT
13.Sharp/Addinsall/Dovaston
34. Rodriguez
and then Evans and Banfield?

Getting NicNat in as the ruck coach with CDT being drafted makes a load of sense.

A coach who had very low endurance but a massive leap coaching CDT with elite speed and endurance but poor ruck craft.

I am believing we are taking CDT and only hope we go for a mid at 13

CDT played a lot of defense as a junior. Given his balance of attributes I think that's where he ends up.

We have pick one and pick two get up !!

We won't end up with random lanky surfer looking dude and retired Canadian sprinter like a few years ago

I see Evans as more of a fwd/mid (like a Humphries) to Harley's mid/fwd. If Evans hits his ceiling, those two will be a headache for the oppo in years to come.

We're not going to be short on midfield options this year. Plenty to trial through there
It looks like in the vids that he'd be just as good as a mid.
Really like his hands and vision along with his speed/power and side step.

Not sure his marking is as good as Heeney but looks a reasonable comparison. Kind of reminds me of a very young Finn Callaghan too.
* Not saying he'll be as good but you get my drift.

He's not physically underdeveloped, he's a Duursma.
You can't be serious?

There high speed running are leagues apart. Only similars attribute is there agility in close.

IF we bid on Dean at 2 or 3, that would eat up their pick 9 and push their pick 11 back several spots. Which brings our Pick 13 up two spots (ignoring the pick that is used to bid on Dean) leaving us with 2 additional options to choose from. Its why I still think we are a strong chance to trade 13 + something into 9 with a guarantee not to bid on him.
I would really hate if we bid on Dean at pick 2 and we actually got him. Patterson on the other hand will be a gem and would love to snag him but cant see that happening. GC will find the points needed.

If we bid on Dean I suspect we may go:
1-Duursma
2-Bid Uwland
3-Bid Patterson
4-Bid Dean
5-CDT

Blues will match that and will burn pick 9 and push 11 past our 13 assuming they don’t trade before.

In Cal Novemeber form guide he has FOS and Harvey Langford effectively 2 and 3. Lalor at 6. Then a week later 3 days before draft Lalor was shifted to 1

Everybody needs to calm down about his upcomong November form guide. Especially happy clappers that are clapping at whatever the club picks.

It's rather dissapointing that it might be unknown who we are picking.

**** you wce I won't he tuning in to draft day. I dont like the tide of where this is all going. The club is in continual shambles. You ruined a transformative moment for the club.

chef kiss

Never change mate.

You can't be serious?
Not a fan of his 0.5 goal a game season? a season which he has apparently climbed the board.

Wild to me.

At this point, I think I’d be happy if we threw all of picks 13,34 and 41 at Carlton for pick 9, take our three R1 picks, pass on a bid for Williams when it comes and hold our last two spots open for Evans and Banfield

Hope that Sharp slides to 9, if not take Dovaston or Farrow - at least one of that trio will be there at 9

What do you think about Evans mate???

In the vids I can find, he's the one who looks most exciting, for me personally.
Really like him, he's got some exceptional traits. Some of the things he did last year playing champs was wow, was prolific in the champs last year but had some moments where you thought he's got real talent and elite agility etc.

His transition to midfield early this year, and his performances had me very excited, went to RSEA to watch him play tigers vfl side. Got there to find him on the sidelines, and the injuries started from then. Hopefully can cat b him.
