I personally think be would have although seeing spec picks like Thomas matthews maybe a club would have taken Hunter (its a thin draft). I would have preferred philipou but I get the reasoning here.

I think it's a great pick. The draft is very thin. He's got some elite attributes. It probably saves us a bit on Max's next contract which is valuable in a salary capped league too.

Well, again, I looked at his highlights and immediately thought, "Hang on, this guy can't actually kick." Even some of his handballing seemed designed to send teammates to hospital.

Love that we have Hunter. Wells just said he has had very little professional coaching. Just like Max. You know his body is going to completely change. I remember those pictures of Maxy's match stick arms when selected.

I still think we can play the draft strategy better. Other clubs just inching back picking up assets. It worked out last year for us and i'm not sure why we don't do it more. But for all i know Hunter could have been picked up by Haw at the next pick.

Sadly those inside mids who are slow are out of vogue. If you look at our two picks we selected the second fastest, and fourth fastest draftee with our selections. We went for the sonic style speed to burn players.. and I think it shows the thinking of where the game is trending and an intentional directive.

Maybe worth a rookie punt?? Not sure if we even have a rookie pick to use given we committed to stevens and kmf

Murray-theres freos revenge for us taking mannagh-they have been waiting a while for that (although I don't think Murray is as good but he could at decent switkowski replacement/partner for them).
