Trembath came out of the Coates League into pre-season with North's VFL program and then into North's AFL program. So his development is closely tied to North and is also a huge credit to himself. Will Thursfield gave him feedback a year ago that if he got a lot fitter he could be an AFL player and he's worked his butt off since and continues to do so.

He looked pretty good in the last few weeks of 2025. Got some continuity and momentum.

Has come back in ripping nick. Hopefully the worst is now well and truly behind him.

Lock him in as number 1 key defender.

Some guys have naturally aerobic compacity ( Themanbun - he'll know ) others not so much, and it can take years to get there.

From what I've heard his exit meeting wasn't complimentary at all.

He is noticeably leaner in those photos so that's a good start.

I’ve been exceptionally critical from the cheap seats.

Can only imagine what was said to him up close and personal from Clarko et al.

Looks like he’s taken the right steps to not being a lazy fat campaigner.

Will judge him on his capacity to not roll off players and point at others when it was his turn to go, rather than his capacity to cut back on pints of Guinness over the preseason.

Reckon he’s got one shot to not be in no man’s land huffing at teammates - or he’s getting shot out of a cannon and put in the 2s for eternity

I thought you were Mr Optimistic about our chances of shooting up the ladder. I know that you didn't necessarily say it would happen next year, but you'd expect a team approaching a performance spike would be led by... well, its leaders during pre season testing.

Was your view subject to evidence based change?

Reckon the ACL really did a number on him, impacted the conditioning and was playing catchup from that point.
Something has gone right in the last couple of months and I love it.
A fit Logue is a weapon.

At some point we’re going to have to recognise that this is the way the competition is going, we need at least one guy in the centre who’s 195cm/100kg plus and defensively minded.
