Wouldn't be surprised if Raso is in the discussion for that rookie spot.

*Edit - Nephew just told me he went to Werribee, I didn't even know he left.

NOVEMBER 24 — SNUBBED DRAFTEE INVITED TO TRAIN ON AS SSP HOPEFUL

Western Jets captain Tom Burton has been selected by Richmond to train at Punt Road, after being overlooked in last week’s AFL Draft.

The 18-year-old speedster is considered a versatile ball-winner who could play across half-back or the midfield, and hails from Caufield Grammar in Melbourne.

Burton is considered as one of the more unlucky young guns to not be picked up by a club in an official capacity during the draft.

It comes with all AFL clubs officially returning to pre-season training on Monday, November 24

Anyone know who the train ons are? Its not Louis is all Ive seen
Know they liked Greeves as a hail mary but he went Rookie, believe other two of interest to them were Tom Burton 176 cm Western Jets/Vic Metro, Aaron Sharkie 185cm Oakleigh/Vic Metro who trained with Rich VFL this year?

Burton goes alright. I was very surprised he didn't get picked up.
Even though he plays mid and as a defender could see Burton and Grlj giving us good drive out of defence.

Yep would be pretty happy if Burton took our last spot.
Certainly can accumulate the pill and did so in a poor Western Jets side (Almost averaged 30d per game).

Very quick which is our theme atm but iffy by foot at times.

Thomas Burton for me. He's small but he's fast, smart, ball winning machine, good kick, tough and can win it inside our outside. He could play midfield, half back, wing or even forward.

No brainer to get this sort of talent as a rookie. Only slipped due to his height.

Shorty replacement

Tom Burton obviously going to bring Jimmy Depp to train with him

This year's Western Jets captain, Tom Burton, and Eastern Ranges 202cm utility Marcus Krasnadamskis, will train with the Club's AFL program through the Supplementary Selection Period (SSP).

Two very different styled players, i like both options!

I think we need to start developing a new project ruckman so personally my early thoughts are leaning towards Krasnadamskis but lets wait and see how they go throughout the preseason!

Krasnadamskis is the exact type of player the rookie list was intended to be used for. A raw, longer term prospect with big upside.

Hopefully he earns a spot. Hes an athletic freak, just needs to build a tank it seems.

Less so these days for the raw types with the rookie list basically being an extension of the main list. No need to elevate them to play games etc.

He does look promising though. I like that he has a great vertical leap testing. Important for a guy around 200cm to have that weapon. Unlike CDT who can't jump.

The beauty of the train on is the best prospect will get picked. They're both in our system in front of our many eyeballs. Would be very hard to stuff up the choice.

Ones more likely to have short term impact, one would be 3-5 years away.

I think we've got enough mid / back types for now, but we're desperately lacking ruck options for the future.
