I think they very much would be saying at least 2 years or he retires. Cox is a very competent speaker and would have options outside of football (the USA-AFL pipeline may become an option).

Joel Hamling got overs from a contract length.

I think the club wants a mature ruck for 2 years, so that's why they gave it.

Sorry for the intrusion (my wife is a Dockers supporter ).

Look after our premiership giant. He's well loved at Collingwood for many reasons, a couple below.

• The endless innuendos and word plays.
• Supporter engagement. Mason is the guy last off the field after training because he's taking pics, signs autographs etc for the kids and fans.
• The 2018 prelim.

He debuted age 25 so doesn't have as much wear and tear as a younger debutant.

Great ruck and kicks straight in front of goals.

I've always liked Mason Cox, to achieve what he has in the game given his background is both remarkable and admirable.

I was hoping that he would get picked up by another club, and I am glad that has happened. I hope he does really well for you guys.

Cox was underutilised at Collingwood. One poor game and he'd be dumped. As some have said- if umpired fairly he should have kicked at least 50 more goals. He is constantly scragged, held and arm chopped for no result.

He is a better player than most haters believe and very good depth.

He has a great footy IQ and showed it early which is incredible for a player who came from such a background as his.

I love the bloke and desperately wanted him to finish as a one club player.

His poor dad will find it hard to switch loyalties. He knows more about the history and champs of the Collingwood footy club than most local nuffies.
