In just about every photo of Sweid he is smiling or laughing.

He is like a kid in a lolly shop!

He reminds me of Son son, always had a smile on his face at training. Just a boy living out his dream and grateful for it every day.

I'm not sure he even makes the side.

He squeezed into the 'options' basket at the moment, and will need to have a great preseason.

He will make the team. His ball use is very very good. Clear thinker, great kick. And good hands. Sees the game early.

I agree, the timing of his injury was very unlucky. If he picks up where he left off he will be selected early on.

I would have thought the Gunston role would be a perfect fit for Jye. Read the play early, find the gaps. Requires a really sound athletic base.

Jye is a beautiful field kick so having him kicking inside 50 is another weapon to add. How good is it to actually have forward options now!

Now, just imagine having them surrounded with quick, nimble small forwards who could kick accurately and provided good defensive pressure.

Whatever role Jye has needs to involve space in front. His best work is good strong leads at the ball carrier. I suspect he moves a bit further out from goal square and ends up leading up hard to HFF/Wing. Him wrestling is not his go - plus backmen illegally scrag him.

His 2024 AA was even worse than Battle's this year.

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Ryan because he's fat. I dislike him because of that Sydney game where I had to watch him take the full 20 seconds to kick it straight back to Sydney about 30 times over. And then had to watch him do that for about 50 games since.

Calling a spade a spade gets bites though.

If you are in a conversation where someone calls a shovel a spade by all means correct them. If you are continually bringing spades into conversations without a segue you are just being a dick.
