Would be good for his career to head to an Adelaide or other team that needs an inside mid. Unlikely to head interstate with a newborn, but would work for the career.
Will eventually finish as back-up to the kids. Seems a waste.

Just not a modern day midfielder.

Gotta have size/power or two way running ability….the best have both.

He has neither really.

Parish had a massive focus on two way running the past 3 preseasons. He pushed his average tackles up to 4 a game in 23/24. Unfortunately the dude was just injured so much we barely got to see the work he'd done.

Genuinely forgot this guy existed. Had a great year (was it 2021?) and then got smacked by injuries, but even then wasn't without his frustrations. Not big /strong enough to win a hard ball get (is that still a thing?), isn't particularly quick and can't hit the side of a barn by foot - glaring weaknesses to be a good inside or outside mid, but is undoubtedly a good 'player' and reads a ruck tap with the best of them. Not sure where that leaves him to be honest.

He can work on it all he likes…..

Just wasn’t born with elite speed or endurance.

We should’ve traded this guy 2 years ago, but alas he’s still on our list & id honestly struggle to plonk him in our best 22 when fit.
If he’s not good enough for our team, why on earth would anyone else want him?

He's not a good fit for our midfield mix, but (if fit) he's quite a decent player. Not one of the top tier elite mids of the comp, but he'd be in that next tier of solid AFL standard midfielders.

When Melbourne had Oliver and Petracca, Parish would have slotted in alongside them nicely. We just didn't have any bigger bodies around him so it was imbalanced.

Perhaps with a fully fit list, rolling our Parish alongside more combative guys like Durham and Caldwell would work. Or in a world where Sharp and Robey are mature bodies, alongside that (ignoring that due to age it won't be a thing).

Every club can use a 180cm inside extractor, if we can limit his kicking to down the line and not over the shoulder dump kicks hes a valuable asset.

This notion he's no good is out dated and proven false. He is a seriously good player we have forgotten how good he can be.

Alas, like always, "when fit", he is a top liner..
