Now I am a fan of the lad JK41, but found this amusing .... the scoreboard has been photoshopped, Roma actually won 6 -1 and this is Gala's goal scorer

Bigger, faster and stronger … he’ll hurt someone this year 💪
The way JK runs (and tackles) kind of reminds me a bit of swallow.....unfortunately his goal kicking does too! I've often wondered if he has tank to play a run with role up the ground a bit more, especially with the club bringing in Spargo, and resigning harvey and banch, in addition to RHJ.

Reckon there is still some upside with JK! Wouldn't surprise me at all if his composure improves this year and he ends up making the most of his opportunities in front of goal.
I hope so

On Monday the club posted training footage and he hit up a teammate in the clip they posted - the ball almost nearly missed his foot altogether though.

His last game for us against the Crows is still fresh in the memory

He started the year much more accurate from limited chances was my gut feel, was nailing every 2nd one or better. As the year went on his accuracy seemed to dip even though the chances weren't much more difficult. Probably should have been rotated out but our lack of options negated that. Doesn't get near enough of the ball - or chances at goal - to not be accurate though.

Yeah I thought that the other day .... a defensive midfielder. Is he still living with Luke Parker? He's banged on some size and he's a fairly determined young chap. Moves pretty well and actually covered a lot of turf last season .... not beyond the realms I'd reckon.

JK needs to be sent to a Deportment Course like June Dally-Watkins to work on his finishing. Maybe new GF Taylor Gatt can also give him some tips.
I had a small business and Elly Lucas (Deportment School) was a client. Her husband was very sophisticated but had a great sense of humour. I was serving him once (I'm a chubby chap) and I said to him - maybe you can help me with my style. He looked at me, smiled and said maybe you misheard - we are a school of elegance not a school of elephants. Here it is 30 plus years later and I still get a laugh out of it.

If the Development or Sports Psychologist at the club can just slow down his brain receptors by 300% each time he has the ball within 25 meters of the goal…………….we might have found that defensive small forward who kicks goals. I reckon last year he left at least 15 on the table and was a significant contributor to confidence killing moments in several matches. 4th year he should be primed to take the next level. Small forward spots at the club are more jammed packed than Bonnie Blue’s you know what 😎

I like his .5 goals per match as a crafty, sneaky small forward.

But there are those they will suggest we need a pressure forward pocket picking player.

Jason is ok, if your desire is to have a poor mans Kayne Turner.

He's not really that though is he. Bloke hunts opposition players, is a sound defensive forward and I reckon covers more ground than Turner. Bloke just needs to calm the **** down when kicking for goal, coulda had 30 odd iirc. He'll be right.

Yacob is in the mix for the 3rd Small Forward role... if he can actually kick goals or tackle someone successfully, he'd be able to lock that in, and we'd reassign CamZ.

Curtis -clear #1
Zurhaar - #2
Dovaston #3
...
Konstanty
Banch

Turning his 11 goals into a 'coulda' 30 is a bit of a stretch there rickets.

Turner comfortably a better player at equivalent stage albeit in a much better supporting line-up.

He was our eighth highest goal scorer. If he'd kicked two more he'd have been in outright fifth place, only one more he'd have been equal fifth.

Turner kicked more goals twice in his career, never had more scoring shots and never had more tackles. (Higher average tackles twice tho.) Took KT three seasons (or more) to play as many games as JK played in his first season of playing AFL footy but it was JKs third season on a list. In that time he kicked more goals and had less scoring shots and tackles.

Both of them bring excellent pressure and both of them caused opposition panic and turnovers from that pressure and both did it in a way that forced turnovers further up the possession chain by making it hard for the oppo player with the ball.

so I wouldn't say Turner was comfortably a better player at the same point in their career. Slightly better for sure and that is because JK missed alot of goals he should have kicked. If he'd kicked 15.9 instead of 11.13 it would be very hard for me to split them.

Turner's best season was his fourth, 2017, until he was injured around halfway thru and he never really performed to that level again. He kicked 17 goals and made 61 tackles from 15 games.

JK is about to enter his fourth season having played two more games (all of them last season).

It'll be interesting to see how they compare watching JK next year.
