Oh FFS.Fremantle’s most impactful midfielder is Hayden Young. Has had some bad luck injury wise over his career but in terms of impact it's not even close since he has moved in his midfield. Serong is your inside midfielder who distributes it to the better users which is why he cops attention. Historically, he also has not dealt well with a tag which is why teams will keep doing it.
Based on overall impact I would have it as Young, Bradshaw (one of the best two way mids in the AFL) and then Serong.
Congratulations you found a spelling mistake. Even based on output. Young has shown more than enough imo to be considered the best player at Fremantle. His impact is off the chart good and he can do it across all three lines. One of the most impactful players in the AFL and will only continue to improve.Oh FFS.
You do realise I'm basing it on actual output.
You could be right about Young being Freo's most 'impactful' when he's on the field, but as far as actual output over the past 3 years, he's miles down the list. Even probably behind George Hewett!
And it's Brayshaw, not Bradshaw!

If you're not rating him as an A Grader, you must only have a half dozen A Grade midfielders in the competition.
Daicos
Bont
Butters
Neale
Serong
Heeney
Because they're the only 6 midfielders who have clearly outperformed him over the past 3 seasons.

You don't get it. Brownlow votes, AA squads and coaches votes become rubbish metrics when it is a Carlton player ahead.Patrick Cripps 2023-2025

Yeah we adjusted it all with your nonsense 'how much opposition attention do they get' scale.Caleb Serong 2025

But according to Carlton supporting posters, he doesn't deserve to be in the top 6 midfielders since 2023, and Cripps does...
Fadgesising - its the new bigfooty metric ( also known as having your hand on it )Someone please explain to me how Newcombe is the winner in this comparison![]()
Yep, Cripps had one great year amongst his 3, but was outperformed by Newcombe in the other 2 seasons, including Newcombe's two great finals series'.Patrick Cripps 2023-2025

Serong is a star. Not flashy, but he wins as much footy on the inside as Neale and Cripps and uses it better. He's unbelievably clean under pressure.Fremantle’s most impactful midfielder is Hayden Young. Based on overall impact I would have it as Young, Brayshaw (one of the best two way mids in the AFL) and then Serong.
Who wrote this rule? You presented us a bunch of stats from Newcombe with his Brownlow votes, AFLCA votes etc to show how dominant he was and Cripps outperformed him in all of themYep, Cripps had one great year amongst his 3, but was outperformed by Newcombe in the other 2 seasons, including Newcombe's two great finals series'.
You can't be outperfomed by a player in 2 of 3 seasons, and argue the player who was better only in one season was CLEARLY better.
I mean, look and the Club Best and Fairest placings to start, and then consider finals performances...

But the discussion isn't 'who do we think is the best player at a club'.Congratulations you found a spelling mistake. Even based on output. Young has shown more than enough imo to be considered the best player at Fremantle.
Cripps has been CLEARLY better than Newcombe over the past 3 seasons, when Newcombe has outperformed him in 2 of the 3 seasons?
Have they? CLEARLY over the past 3 years? Then we could go on to players like Noah Anderson, Matt Rowell, Hugh McCluggage, Jordan Dawson, Zach Merrett, Errol Gulden, Andy Brayshaw etc who have all performed at a higher level too.
Go do your silly breakdown of Brownlow votes, AFLCA, AA's, BnFs etc and tell us who of that lot Newcombe clearly outperformedHave they? CLEARLY over the past 3 years?
Nope.

No, he hasn't.Who wrote this rule? You presented us a bunch of stats from Newcombe with his Brownlow votes, AFLCA votes etc to show how dominant he was and Cripps outperformed him in all of them![]()
But I'm not saying Newcombe CLEARLY OUTPERFORMED any of them.Go do your silly breakdown of Brownlow votes, AFLCA, AA's, BnFs etc and tell us who of that lot Newcombe clearly outperformed![]()
Serong is a very good player but I'm taking the other two ahead of him. They are far harder to stop imo and do more damage around the ground. Serong great at what he does but the others have more to their gamesSerong is a star. Not flashy, but he wins as much footy on the inside as Neale and Cripps and uses it better. Serong has outperformed both of them over the last 3 years (only marginally ahead of Neale), but you'd be on your own if you're taking either Cripps or Neale ahead of Serong going into 2026.Serong is a very good player but I'm taking the other two ahead of him. A lot of delusion coming from a certain Wobbler.More delusion. Unsurprising.
Good to see your arrogance knows no bounds. Now speaking for everyone that follows the AFLSerong has outperformed both of them over the last 3 years (only marginally ahead of Neale), but you'd be on your own if you're taking either Cripps or Neale ahead of Serong going into 2026.
No. Just anyone who is logical and rational.Good to see your arrogance knows no bounds. Now speaking for everyone that follows the AFL
Ah yes logical and rational. Like using Brownlow odds as evidence of who will be better next yearNo. Just anyone who is logical and rational.
