Palace rested the entire first team
mid week for the Leeds match, so no real excuse in that front
Feel like the schedule as a whole has certainly been taking a toll, we are leaking goals much more regularly of late.

A couple of injuries has certainly exposed the lack of depth, would be more than happy to see plenty of the first teamers left out again on Tuesday night.

Damn, it looked bad to begin with and sounds like they were bracing themselves for some bad news after his scan. I get the question marks over his fee given his injury record as it was always a risky decision, however you can’t really mitigate for an injury like that unfortunately. That’s just bad luck in that situation, the way his leg was caught twisted. Ouch.

Re Jimenez penalty taking routine

Why were goalkeepers prevented from their dancing on the line aka Redmayne, if the taker is allowed to “run” in like that?
And what are keepers allowed to do? Can they start from behind the line and run forward/back to throw off the taker, as long as feet are on the line when the ball is kicked? (Edit, just checked, have to keep feet on the line at all times until the ball is kicked).

Why aren’t they allowed to dance if the penalty taker can stutter and act like he’s Steady Eddy?

Law 14 – The Penalty Kick states that the goalkeeper must not behave in a way that unfairly distracts the kicker. Thus, while a player is preparing to take a penalty kick, the defending goalkeeper must take their position between the goalposts and remain on the goal line, facing the kicker, until the ball is kicked.

In other words, stand still and guess. People come to watch penalties scored, not penalties saved.

Joke.
