I think the cool weather leading up to the test where it went wrong, and made it too bowler friendly, if they had warmer weather leading up to the test, I reckon they would of been a different outcome

Which is why you cut it to something under 10mm

The MCG should lose the boxing day test until they figure out how to consistently get their pitch right.
I've had a shocking run lately with recent deaths in the family, and getting over apretty nasty illness. The one thing I've been looking forward to is day 3 off the boxing day test. Four the first time in 15 years I convinced my dad to take time off during harvest to come across from SA to enjoy the cricket and this one day of joy we've been looking forward to for months has been snatched away by a pathetic curator who can't do their job right.

Seriously, screw the MCG. I know it's just a game but this actually hurts.

The curators were ok with last years pitch. I strongly think it's the ineptitude of the batters that is making it look worse than what it is.

7mm in last years boxing day test match vs 10mm in this years boxing day test, hardly think 3mm resulted in the test match finishing 3 days earlier.

Really should blast the Australian batting for constantly struggling against a weak English bowling lineup.

Still cannot believe we managed to win a series with this batting level, says a lot about how shit England were .

If we lose this match, which is looking more and more likely, I think it's a bit unfair to blame the bowlers the second time around.

What will have cost us the match is our spineless effort with the bat today. All we had to do was knuckle down, show a bit of fight and batting would have become easier. But this is a very mentally brittle Australian batting side unfortunately, and that was just all too hard for them.

Pretty much a repeat of where England fell down in the first Test.

Got a lead after that dreadful first inning. Ended up with a worser performance in the second.
Trash. Marnus has been very lucky his shield form was excellent. He’s done nothing for a long long time now.
Combined with Green who’s a walking wicket and Khawaja who surely is done next test.

Pitch looking nice for batting all of a sudden. No doubt has flattened out a bit but they cllearly bowled better than us and batted more confidently than us.

Seems like the only chance we had was by opening with Boland but even then an umlikely win. They were always going to get early runs throwing the bat and put us on the back foot. Rode their luck but played it right.

Declared himself 'unfit' for this game 5mins after completing the previous one. Right there and then I thought it sounded like the Aussies had the job done and the foot would definitely be off the throat in the last two games.
