The last 2 players id have on a wing are those 2.
Fact people just keep picking names out of a hat to fill those spots says alot. Hopefully by Round 11 we will just know that on 1 wing is Duursma and on the other is Allan
To be honest, I was using them more as a 'midfield' grouping than a set winger, assuming the players listed would rotate through the centre.
That's my Best 23 either way - the positioning can shuffle.

Yeah I have McCarthy in more of an outside role. I want McCarthy and H.Reid to be first hand ball receive because they are so damaging offensively. Hopefully Yeo and Robertson can do the grunt work freeing them both up.
Absolutely agree and from all reports and from the small sample of training I have watched Davis looks like the one for that first wing spot. I think the other will likely be Allan or Duursma. People love throwing randoms onto that wing who aren't even training for a wing spot or in contention to be selected there. My understanding from reports is that apart from these 3 Hall, Johnston and to a lesser extent Dewar are being run through there. Hutchinson too prior to be being ruled out with a long term injury. Johnston in contention for a forward spot and Dewar training with the backs. Davis is the stand out for mine at this stage . Mini seems to like his wingers to be disciplined high calibre 2 way defensive runners. Can see why he likes Davis. He is going to be a very good footballer.

Yeah sounds like Johnston up forward will happen.
Dewar will struggle if he's training down back. Its the position he's least likely to get a game. Likely to be delisted after this season. He's really got to be able to do something up forward
Yes. Hope so for Johnston. Certainly some spots up for grabs in that forward line. I think Dewar will spend majority of time playing WAFL unless something drastic can happen. No question he has some talent but with where the team is at currently he just isn't consistent enough or display the work rate and effort required to contribute to the team. Agree he wont crack into that backline and forward would be his only real chance.

Thing about Whopper is he'll be a fantastic voice to help the forwards structure up.
Cripps is decent in this space but I don't see the other smalls as vocal types at this stage of their careers.

Duggan has just had his 1st baby, 1 year of shit sleeps and further declining speed.
I hope we have the balls to name a new captain, or he has the balls to nominate and support someone else. Duggan has been a real leader for our club during a horrible period, but time to hand over the baton.

Not a bad suggestion, his tackling pressure and brute strength would probably create a goal or two per game.
Just looking at midfield and various rotations.
First rotation.
Ruck - Flynn
Reid - centre. Done.
Yeo - RR
Dev - Defensive, blocks and feeds it out.
Rotations :
Hewett - similar power game to Harley hopefully becomes more consistent.
McCarthy - has the tank and the IQ to play RR.
Hall / Schoenberg - at the coal face and help generate clearances / share the load.
Long could surprise as could Newton.
OUTSIDE
Davis seems to be developing well, running ability a stand out.
Bo Allan will spend time developing on the outside.
Duursma also will start on the flanks.
Dewar needs to keep improving and has shown good signs.
Linsday off the bench is an option if ready.
