Nancy Pelosi says hello.

Not sure Pelosi has racked up $3bn and counting in ill-gotten gains.

As with pretty much everything, you can cherry pick the single worst thing any politician has done as an example of 'but they all do it' except Trump usually does it bigger, and does it along with all the other worst things every other politician has done.

Credit to him, he should probably be remembered as the single greatest conman the world has ever seen.

The US has invaded more sovereign states than China.

If you were to pick a single world power most likely to invade another country, it's probably the US.

Stop treating the world like a Hollywood movie where the US are the good guys. They're not.

Most Americans don't think they're the "good guys", they just think they've earnt the right to bully others.

This may sound fringe, but Asmongold has a huge following and A LOT people think like him.

So, you should do whatever whatever you need to do in order to achieve a goal. I don't think about whether something's good or bad. I think about whether something will move me forward or backwards from what my goal is and I operate off of that one individual principle for everything.
That is my my guiding principle for my entire life is that I only think about that one thing.

This is...anti-morality.

Americans have been brought up over the decades to think this implicitly after countless wars and invasions, now they're just saying it plainly.

Of course it's unsustainable and once you apply this framework, then it becomess valid for everyone else.

Batteries dont lose massive amounts of energy through heat loss… your figures are wrong.

A 737 or A320 aircraft needs a battery density of about 1000wh per Kilogram… we are mass producing batteries already at half that. … Research batteries already have reached 700wh….

It’s only a matter of time.
They’ll have the tech within 10 years…

This figure is not supported by any facts whatsoever,. Please quote how you come up with 1000wh per kg for a 737/A320. Your measurement needs to be in specific energy ie MJ per kg.

Jet fuel has a specific energy density of 43MJ/kg. The very best Lithium Ion batteries right now have an energy density of 0.9 MJ/KG - these are facts.

Even taking into account heat loss on a jet engine you're still going to need 400,000kg plus of batteries right now to power an A320 in lieu of 2 x 2.5t jet engines that weighs 93T. Not happening.

It is an absolute guarantee that there will not be an A320 / 737 sized aircraft powered by batteries within the next 10 years. The development and certification alone takes longer than that. You'd be lucky to see that within 100 years.

Also if there was even a slight chance of this happening within 10 years both Boeing & Airbus would be all over it right now as it would sell out within minutes. No more jet fuel costs is a wet dream for large airlines.

It isn't happening, period.

Stop treating the world like a Hollywood movie where the US are the good guys. They're not.

The problem is we’re bombarded with so much pro USA propaganda crap in Australia it’s impossible for some to conceive of a notion where the USA isn’t the good guy. When was the last time a movie or TV series released where the USA was portrayed as the “bad” side?

They're already reaching the 'I'd rather be taken over by the US than China' phase of things I'd say.

Going off that look at one of the top rated shows on Australian platforms currently, “NCIS Sydney”. Pure propaganda justifying U.S. Navy cops running around Australia arresting Australians for daring to do “bad things” against “brave innocent American soldiers protecting Aussies”. The first episode even made those opposed to AUKUS the bad guys.

The series (funded in part by the U.S. military) is trying to legitimise the idea that Americans can exercise authority over Australians on Australian soil. Outright propaganda.

Trump isn't the first President or elected official to line their pockets while in office.

True but he is the one that has abused his position of power the most.

Everything he does while in office is about benefitting him and his mates now and long term past his presidency ending whether republicans are in power or not.

Venezuelan oil isn't worth it to US as a country - the equation doesn't stack up when US untapped reserves are 1/3 the size of Venezuela.

Venezuelan oil is worth a fortune for Trump aligned oil companies and the kickbacks he, his family and business associates will receive from it for the next 20-30 years or so before oil drops off sharply in value.

When you look at all the batshit crazy stuff Orange Mussolini does while in office from the viewpoint that it is to benefit Trump & co financially now and long term much of it makes sense.

That's what it's all about for him, always will be.

Hollywood is an excellent propaganda operation.

Thats what I mean - she's usually the most cited regarding pollies increasing their wealth and whats she worth, coupla hundred million after 40 years in office?

Absolute amateur compared to Trump.

'but Hunter Biden'

That one pales in comparison to what Kushner's made out with.

And we've heard this play before with Trump's vaunted minerals deal in Ukraine which was dismissed by Ukraine as nonsensical.

Trump wanted to get in on Ukranian minerals not for the benefit of the US but for himself and his buddies long term. It's so obvious the way he does things.

The truth is finally out, the real reason why Trump assembled an armada off the coast of Venezuela and sent in a special forces team to snatch their President.

It’s not oil.
It’s not drugs
It’s not democracy
It’s not China influence
It’s not narco-terrorism

… it’s that Trump felt Maduro was taking the piss out of his dancing.

I don’t even watch streamers but as soon as I found out that there was this streamer named Asmongold, who has hundreds of thousands perhaps millions of followers that listen to his opinion, I knew the world was on the way to being ****ed.

This is a guy that can’t drink water, has to chase it with Mountain Dew, scrapes his bloody boogers on his walls, lives amongst so much trash that there are cockroaches (PLURAL) in his room!! And people listen to his opinion on anything!!

This gave me a chuckle as you have quoted an article which clearly states that battery powered commercial aircraft are not viable and will not be for a very long time. It also states that automotive battery technology is not suitable for aviation use.

My concern is who in Australia will fight for Australia.
It won't be the new arrivals.
It won;t be the politicians. Maybe pauline
🤣
Can't just expect US too, they might but only if it is for their benefit.

But why would young people fight for a country where the government hates them.
They are priced out of a home and can't have kids until mid 30's if they are lucky due to financial stresses or if get a leg up from parents.
Their education is a lot on Australia's failures, but little of successes.
And you know that how?? Not to extrapolate to the entire population but, two mates from my high school days migrated from India. Guess which Army they are now a member of. And guess which cricket team they support! To say someone will not stand up for their country because they are not the white man (which is what you really mean) is a primitive view.

And give it a rest with Pauline. Not to be rude or antagonistic but you have to be naive to think that. She doesn’t attend parliament half the time because she’s too busy partying and giving speeches at Trumps personal resort.
