I liked these bits of the report below

“Grjl and Sam Cumming dominated through fast hand drills, leaving their opponents in the dust as they showed off their summer running improvements.

Growth in size and speed for both Maurice Rioli and Green saw the pair dominating sprint drills, while James Trezise was tackling like his life depended on it in a full ground run through.

Attention turned to quick-thinking and decision making drills, with Harry Armstrong and Luke Trainor confident in their ball movement across the wing, promptly feeding the ball to a fit and firing Kane McAuliffe on the run, who is in ripping shape and form.

Good time to come back, worst heatwave probably in history. Players like RIOLI CAN USE IT AS A SAUNA and take some kgs off easily lol Surely clubs are not stupid enough to really train in this weather or are they?
Worse heatwave in history??
Lol

Plain Oversized shirts, plain oversized knee length shorts, goofy long socks half way up their shin and Kmart Converse sneakers

Accompanied by an unstyled mop head of hair and a filthy looking mo

That’s the look in the northern suburbs now
Every campaigner
hypercolour t shirts are better

Plenty of people spent 2025 questioning Serpell and his training programs due to the constant soft tissue issues, especially in the younger guys, yet here we are the first week of training for 2026 and a lot of players are matching or bettering their PBs in the Bronco test, a lot of the younger guys are looking much more developed physically while some of the older guys seem to have slimmed down to also be in the best shape they have been in for a few years.

It's a timely reminder that results aren't always immediate when implementing new programs and there will be set backs along the way as bodies adapt to the new loads being placed on them.

Now I'm not saying that everything is going to go smoothly and we're not going to have any more soft tissue issues, but I'm quite confident that we'll see a team that is better placed to run out games this year as opposed to last year. We still may hit the wall in the 2nd half of the season as a long season catches up with those 1st/2nd year guys but the drop off won't be as bad as we saw in 2025.

Hope you haven't put a curse on the club

There is nothing to curse. Injuries are part of the game, it's more about how the playing group is developing so that in the next 12-24 months they should be in position to be able to start climbing the ladder and working their way back towards the finals.

Caesar @PRE reckons both Fawcett and Gray are not out of contention for round 1

Love hearing the continued news about Fawcett, it will force Armstrong and Faull work a lot harder for a spot if this guy continues to impress the coaches.

A few here are very quick to write him off because he isn't one of our "big named draftees".
