Where they should be.
Bowey until he grows another 15cm.
Chandler when he can run a lot faster.
Bowza can't help it and Chin doesn't have to be "faster"

Bowey is out for half the season anyway, isn't he? (Or won't be in good nick until then anyway with missing all preseason). Chandler probably goes to a HFF or wing in place of Salem but eh. There's usually a bolter or two from preseason who gets into the side plus some blokes go into new roles.

Exciting that there's going to have to be major changes to the team lineup and style.

The only time i can recall us playing the saints in round 1 is 2014 at docklands with all the paul roos hype and being meh, then the start of 07 Friday night after beating them in that final the previous year and being very meh but robbo kicked a good goal i think?

Goodwins first game as coach. We beat them comfortably.

The 07 game was so meh the AFL decided to have an opener that actually got attention and since then it's pretty much been Richmond vs Carlton. Yeah they've had some pretty meh games but they always get a big crowd.

Lewis played his first game for us, Vince clobbered someone in the back of the head and Paul Roos did the weirdest rambling commentary about what a clever move it was to bring in Lewis, how clever Lewis is (I forget why) and how clever Jesse Hogan is for being able to move not just forward and backwards but side-to-side. And how clever Vince was for whatever reason.

I was trying to put sauce on two pies and the big squeezy bottle had the entire top shoots off and I was sprayed in sauce globs

Nick Riewoldt had a knee scare and the footy world has a premature funeral for him. He played the following week.

Even though we all know NAS should have had the 1, 2 and 3 votes that day, it's bloody nice still hearing the Saints fans whinge and moan about him not getting the 3 votes. Saints f* us for years and years. How many in a row did they win against us? Wasn't it like 17 or something ridiculous? F* the Saints. Probably the one club that's more pathetic than us.

That was funny (TBF - he thought he had snapped an ACL and hadn’t done one before, and he was dead embarrassed)

Joel Smith debuted then I think and dislocated a shoulder

Yep, had a great first quarter from memory then got hurt. The saints started that game very well then we smashed them after 1/4 time, the melts on their board were legendary. Hoping for a repeat!

I think it was Riewoldt who slid over him and caused the dislocation? Watching at the ground when Riewoldt hurt his knee you expected him to be worse off than Joel

Recalling some random win from a non-finals year in great detail is such a Melbourne supporter thing
