For AFL level, Clarko's best 22-23 contains way too many one-paced, unathletic plodders. Some are good footballers, others are overrated and some are very limited. Collectively they can't defend.

Thought Dova was ok without threatening the scoreboard. BGZ showed a bit, should have kicked 4.
PC would have made a considerable difference, as would have Kerch and George.
Don’t think the midfield gets pantsed like that when points are on the line, ball into the Melb forward line would ordinarily not be as free-flowing.
Glaring thing for me was zero evidence that our defence can defend. Way too many centering kicks to the hotspot that were resulting in uncontested marks.
Lounge and Pink poor. Chom not much better. Zero run out, and Coop is not a defenders backside (can’t see him fitting anywhere, too slow).
And as usual way too many passengers - Bull the prime offender

As much as l disliked what l saw against Melbourne l think l'll wait and see what happens after the game against the Pies. Hopefully we will have PC, Trembath, Mckercher and Wardlaw playing and even Whitlock and Banch as well. l think while it was a match against another club some players didnt seem to be playing with 100% effort on occassions maybe because they new it was only a practice game also.

And out of that list maybe 4-5 should be in the senior list. And out of that 4-5 probably 2 or 3 would get a game with anyone else. Not going to move the dial one inch

Luckily it's not blustery or 30+ degrees for Melbourne

It was hot but not blustery. The ground looked perfect. Probably a bit hard but good grass coverage. Wind favoured one end but probably only added a metre or so to kicks.

Our blokes looked gassed at half time. Sweating, hair messed up and faces reddened (except Logue).
