Just wish to make an uninformed observation that is not appropriate because it has no sauce and goes against BF culture. It is possible that Bobby could return quicker than expected because JUH, who would not impact in 2026 until much latter, is a candidate to return first round. Just saying and spinning.

Fly, in a typical Fly way, let us all know his thoughts on Bobby today, and that Bobby has been supported and cared for. But we’re a footy club and our priority is footy - and winning. Fly says come back Bobby when you’re ready to contribute to the ‘winning’ bit.

P.S. doesn’t really clarify the contract situation, but the club will be all over that.

Think everyone needs to calm down on the contract. It will never be tested. Because that would require a court action. What will happen is that if the worst occurs and Bobby can’t play anymore, there will be a settlement. And that will be that.

But what about Clubs Salary Cap for the Years of the Contract?

In the last hour I've heard that Bobby may not play again "fallen out of love with football", then, an article saying Bobby will be returning soon. All the speculation is pure conjecture, it wreaks of journos trying to one-up each other, every damn minute. One thing is sure, Bobby's getting a fair chunk of change to be MIA.

Then's the AI stuff and the fake news, so that trying to ascertain anything concrete about his situation is a waste of effort.

Lachie Neale is playing right now, fit and giving his all for his club, team mates and supporters. He's making good on his commitment and responsibility to his employer as anyone should and does.

We all know that Bobby’s issues are more than family issues. He has bad habits and no one at the club wants him back.

Please elaborate on his bad habits. This is the first I have heard of "bad habits".

Yes, same here. What habits, other than not attending training?

Presumably Bobby played a significant part in his relationship breakdown but I know one thing for sure - having your small children taken 4,000 km away is going to profoundly test the resilience and motivation of anyone.

I can't see how Bobby returns to play AFL for anyone other than WCoast or Freo, unless there's a reconciliation that leads to his partner and children returning to Melbourne. By all reports, that seems unlikely. The whole situation sucks.

Who knows about other factors, but simply throwing kids into the mix makes this a whole different ball game.
