West Coast are going to lose by 100+ points every single game this year with the new rule changes making the games faster.

Could end up with the worst percentage ever.

Except against us when they will play like their lives depend on it and we'll scrounge out a 30 point win.

I can't decide whether the AFL handing the Suns a world-beating side only for them to barely muster a crowd of 10,000 cocaine dealers, retirees, property developers and absentee landlords is funny or enraging.

Option 2.

I find myself defending Gold Coast quite often because it's pretty clear at grass roots level over here they're doing wonders. One of the premier NRL schools (Palm Beach Currumbin) is now a premier AFL juniors school. They're definitely doing an incredible job and it will come for them off the field with generational change...

...but 4 first round picks even after giving away 3 for Petracca after making the semi finals? Yeah na, get in the bin!

My nephew is in the AFL program at Palm Beach Currumbin, having moved up from Byron at the end of last year to join. He's 13 now, and this is already his second year in the GC junior academy. I don’t know how good he’s going to end up - he went from being the best in his Byron team to being surrounded by a lot of really talented kids, but whatever happens with him, GC get them really young into their academies and then through schools like PBC the kids get further development.

(It might benefit my nephew but I still hate ‘em.)
