Our ball use has been soooooo much better than last week, thank goodness. Actually looking dangerous going forward.

Unfortunately the contested stuff has been a debacle so we've had very little control of the ball

Yup, it supports the idea that one of the biggest issue with our ball movement was Laird. In saying that, it's very straight line football, though I suppose that suits wet weather football.

You have to. Move it forward any way possible - and forward is the only way to go

I do wish we had a few back of the pack though

Just went back as far as Foxtel allows to see Butts get through one tackle and then get pinged trying to break the second.

Rewind to Smith throwing out stiff arms, getting brought down, not getting rid of it and ball up.

Genuinely trying to pretend that we're committing ten times more potential HTB calls against is certainly a vibe.

A bit fumbly at times with ground level balls has cost us. Another couple of handball chains came unstuck when we were in control of the ball and attacking.

Not far away

The first 10 minutes though... yikes. We barely existed. Could have been 15 goals down at quarter time

Perhaps they should try Pedlar on the ball for a bit to give Bailey Smith something to worry about, because he's sure as shit not worried by Soligo

I thought the HTBs against us were there (repeatedly trying to break tackles, feebly getting wrapped up, then dropping the ball on the ground) but we should have had a few more back

Bailey Smith in the F50 towards half time was about as obvious as HTB gets

Unfortunately I think Pedlar is hampered by a lower leg issue and Sniff would run away from him

That's my issue. A lot of the calls against us were there, even if they were a touch harsh at times. Just not seeing the same applied when roles reverse at the moment.

Rachele, Worrell, butts, Michalanney and McAndrew have been huge.

Rankine, Thrilthorp and Pedlar have had moments of brilliance.

Game is 50/50 right now.
McAndrew really impresses me with his skills.

Also, his 2nd efforts are good & not too different to ROB, but better with disposal.

I am a big fan of Soligo but given his lack of size. if he isn't 100% on, he is a liability.

I think he probably ends up as HFF. Not sure he has the tank to be a permanent Mid.

Our handful of F50 entries have been great

Despite looking flat at times we look quicker and more dynamic at both ends of the ground.
