That Brisbane Physio never works in the industry again.

Dragging a clearly concussed Answorth up off the deck by his jumper was the single biggest dereliction of a duty of care I've seen in a game for a longtime.

The stretcher is there - use it.

Terrible terrible look.

The AFL will get involved for sure - with Brisbane and also about the dreadful umpiring in this match.
Agree with everything - except I think it was Sharman.

Edit: Sorry, you were right. My bad.

Thing is this is just about their best side outside Max King and there limit is about mid table at best from what I've seen. There's far too many battlers running around that NAS or Sinclair can't carry alone.
And some of those battlers are imports on big money.

I'm going to go ridiculously early and say that this version of Brisbane isn't doing another threepeat.
They done this consistently the last 3 years. Play woefully against the bad teams but manage to do just enough to fall over the line.

They’ve looked dominant on grand final day but have had a lot of luck especially in 2024 to get there.

They’ve been a far cry from unbeatable. Just timed their run right and had their competition collapse at the end of the year.

Just like us 2013-15.

The vast majority of eventual premiers are not the minor premiers.

The fight they're showing in this game against Freo is showcasing exactly why I'm big on the Tigers.

Sure, they'll probably get run over the top in the second half but if I was a Tigers fan, I'd be much happier about the next decade than fans of the following clubs, especially with the compromised drafts for Tassie almost upon us:
  • Essendon - cellar dwellers for a few more years yet
  • Carlton - slightly better off than the Bombers but their current stars won't be around for their next serious tilt
  • Giants - already peaked and now on a downward slope
  • Saints - will remain in wildcard contention but no more than that
  • Port - not much of a future without Butters, especially with slim pickings in recent drafts
  • North - have the playing talent but... well, they'll mess it up, won't they?
  • Collingwood - the cliff is coming into view fast and even their star player appears to be looking elsewhere
  • Dees and Eagles - better off than the other 7 I've mentioned above but reckon the Tigers have them covered, especially on the playing side, with a fair number of Richmond's rich 2024/25 crop already showing very good signs, with some others having been unlucky with injury thus far
Edit: I'm predicting the Tigers will overtake the first 7 clubs I've mentioned above, within the next 5 years.

I'm with you - I wrote them off hard in the summer of 2024 but they really showed something last year despite their list being bereft of experience.

Getting hammered now, should be miles behind. Freo are looking very dangerous this year they will put many teams to the sword at their best.

Harsh on GWS considering their injuries so far this year

The reason I think they've already peaked is because, not unlike the Pies, a big chunk of their best players are aged 30+.

The exceptions are Tom Green, out injured this year and reportedly now Tassie's top target; Sam Taylor, also injured at present; Lachie Ash, one of the better running half-backs in the comp; and Finn Callaghan, whom we might learn a lot more about this year without Green winning the hard ball beside him. Aaron Cadmam showed some signs last year but I'm not yet convinced about him.

Also, they've lost their last four finals.
